2021 INFINITI QX80

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP:CONTROL/DRIVE MODULE

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Nissan Armada and 2020-2021 INFINITI QX80 vehicles equipped with V8 engines. The impeller can swell and bind within the fuel pump module, causing it to fail.

I have been saying that my vehicle is a safety hazard since April 2022. I have had it to the dealer 4x since then in addition to opening up several cases with Inifiniti Customer Service, but nobody has been able to protect my family and I and remedy the situation. At times the vehicle will not accelerate even when I push the gas all the way down. Then it will kick in and surge forward. I also have told them that at times it feels as if someone has rear ended me. There is a recall out there for cars manufactured through April 2020, but mine was manufactured in September 2020. Infiniti's recall is #R21A3 and the NHTSA ID is 21V373. I have experienced the same exact symptoms as those covered under this recall. Now Inifiniti is telling me that my transmission needs to be replaced as a result of metal shavings in the oil. The contact owns a 2021 Infiniti QX80. The contact stated while driving at approximately 65 MPH, the sunroof inadvertently exploded without impact. The contact stated that the sunroof was not being utilized and was covered and closed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.

The paint is peeling on my 2021 qx80 on the rear bumper and the grill is bubbling. Infiniti refused to cover it because we are out of the warranty. Might I ad only by a couple hundred miles.
