A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED HEADACHES, INJURIES TO THE STERNUM, AND BRUISING ALIGNED WITH THE SEAT BELT. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT RECEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD AND WAS DECLARED DESTROYED BY THE INSURANCE INVESTIGATOR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
