THERE IS A RAIN-DETECTING AUTO WIPER FUNCTION SETTING WITH THIS CAR. WHEN USING THE AUTO SETTING, THE WIPERS WILL FIRE RANDOMLY WHEN THERE IS NO MOISTURE WHATSOEVER. THIS CAN HAPPEN IN HOT OR COLD WEATHER AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE CAR IS MOVING OR STATIONARY. WHILE I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM MULTIPLE TIMES TO INFINITI, THEY HAVE NOT ADDRESSED THE ISSUE.

I EXPERIENCED A CATACLYSMIC FAILURE OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. THIS OCCURRED FEBRUARY 15, 2016, AT 143PM, NORTHBOUND I5, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. THE DRIVER CURTAIN AIRBAG AND SEAT MOUNTED SIDE-IMPACT AIRBAG DEPLOYED WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT 65 MPH IN THE CARPOOL LANE. THERE WAS NO COLLISION. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF ANY WARNING SYMBOLS ON THE DASHBOARD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY ROAD DEBRIS. THE TECHNICIAN MENTIONED THAT THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 900.
