Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2022 QX60 is unknown or other with 6 filings, followed by electrical system (4) and service brakes (2). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 2 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 7 investigation files overlapping the 2022 QX60. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

On February 28, 2025, at approximately 8:43 a.m., while driving on Highway 3 in Alvin, TX, the panoramic sunroof glass on my vehicle suddenly and violently exploded/shattered without any warning. At the time of the incident, no other vehicles were around me, and there was no impact from debris, rocks, or any external object. Thank god my kids had just been dropped off at school or this would be a whole different situation. The explosion was extremely loud and occurred spontaneously while the vehicle was in motion. My husband was a passenger in the vehicle at the time. The sudden failure created an immediate safety hazard due to the risk of flying glass, distraction, and potential loss of vehicle control. My husband immediately looked around to note if someone threw something or if construction vehicles were around. It was a very slow quiet morning! Nothing was inside the car where the hole in sunroof appeared! There was no prior damage, no weather-related event, and no indication of
The rear brake pads have been replaced every year. The first time was on 3/11/23 at 15,080 miles. The second time was on 2/24/24 at 30,279 miles. The third time they were replaced was 2/28/25 at 42,731 miles. I took the car in again on 12/05/25 and the rear brake pads needed to be replaced again. This is not normal wear and tear. The dealership told me it's a known issue and Infiniti isn't doing anything about it. There is a recall in place on the 2025 model of the QX60 and I believe there's an issue with the brake pads on the 2022 model as well.
2022 QX60 equipped with a Panoramic Moonroof. While in Florida 850 miles from home, I was traveling alone at about 35mph when I heard a loud explosion. It sounded like a gun shot at close range. I kept driving but observed my surroundings and there was no traffic, no construction, nothing overhead, no warning lights. When I got to my destination a couple miles away, I inspected the vehicle, fully expecting to see a bullet hole or shattered rear window from a bullet. What I found was the front moonroof had shattered and mostly still intact. It had blown up and out and not inward as it would if it were hit with a projectile. I contacted the nearest Infiniti dealer in Mobile Alabama 100 miles away, but they couldnât look at it for at least 3 weeks. I covered the moonroof with heavy plastic and duct tape to keep the elements out of the vehicle and keep the moonroof intact as much as possible to help with Infinitiâs investigation. The cullet that had fallen into the sunshade was v
Our 2022 Infiniti QX60 was brought in at Infiniti Service Center for regular oil change. The car had 29,564 miles. After the service, I was deciding whether to take the highway or the local route. I thought of stopping by the church, so I decided to take the local route. After driving for 4.2 miles on a road with cars moving at 45 mph, our QX60 suddenly just stalled. The car cannot be started. Dashboard lights were fading. It was good hazard lights were still blinking. It was a terrifying experience seeing how fast cars & trailer trucks were going behind us. We had to call 911 to have a police car go behind us & avoid oncoming traffic colliding & piling on our car. We called Infiniti Roadside Assistance to help us get a towing truck to bring the car back to service. The service center said that they will change the fuel injector. Take note that QX60 has had stalling issues in the past even with earlier models. Please see all the forums & complaints. We had a 2019 QX60 that just st
255/50R20- I have done every service at the dealership except one (last one). I was told all 4 tires were worn out and they refused to rotate tires, took it to another place and was told the same. Vehicle has 27,000 and both places told me it was very unsusual. Called dealership and they directed me to bridgestone which refused to help as well claiming tires from manufacturer have no warranty. Makes no sense!
The QX60, and possibly many other Infiniti models has a serious flaw in the Apple Car Play and Android Auto features. This affects my model year of 2022 but I understand from other owners it is like still an issue on model year 2023 and 2024 and likely others. The issue is there are not adequate volume adjustments for paired phones with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. If you adjust the paired audio on the car's infotainment system for a phone call, then the next call that comes in will sound a deafining ringer volume. If you turn down the volume for a normal ringer volume then the audio volume on the call is so low you can't have a conversation. This may seem like a non issue, however, when a call comes in and the volume is at its previous level for a phone call, it is so startling it causes all passengers to jump and hold their ears. At least a half a dozen times this has startled me to the point where I inadvertanlty swerved across my lane bounder quickly trying to find the vol
The vehicle shifts from drive into neutral intermittently. This has happed several times over the coarse of 2 years that we have had vehicle. It has occurred on both highway and street driving and is a major safety concern. We have brought it into the dealership and they could not replicate it the first time and now they are working with Infiniti to troubleshoot.
Safety issue with the Ringtone volume in the infotainment system while connected to Apple Carplay(not Bluetooth). The Ringtone volume setting is being adjusted(unwillingly) along with the call/media volume while in a phone call. Because the call volume has to be increased to a high level in order to hear the conversation, the Ringtone volume will be unintentionally increased at the same time. This cause a dangerously loud ring when a new call comes in due to the Ringtone volume stay high after the previous call. The Ringtone volume can be manually lowered after each call, but the loud ring still occur while adjusting, and defeat the purpose of such hand-free system. This issue cause a jump-scare every time a phone call is received, which could lead to an accident in certain situation. Repro steps: 1 - Start the car and let Apple Carplay connect automatically. 2 - Ensure the Ringtone volume is set to the minimum via the car's infotainment. 3 - Make a phone call using the connected ph

There is a manufacture's defect in the panoramic sunroof. When driving my vehicle there is a continuous creaking sound emitting from the sunroof. This has been a problem since I picked up the vehicle. After 2.5 weeks the service department has isolated the problem in the sunroof however there is a problem resolving the matter. The problem is finding a company to remove the sunroof and getting a solution from Infiniti USA
2022 INFINITY QX60. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO DEFECTIVE TRUNK DOOR. THE CONSUMER IS REQUESTING EITHER A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE OR A REDUCTION IN THE PRICE OF THE DEFECTIVE VEHICLE.
With less than 2000 miles, the dash has blacked out while driving and that seems to have cleared finally. Now the hatch back will randomly open when walking near the back of the vehicle. Sometimes when the hatch is open, it will close while putting groceries in the back. It has been in to Infiniti for this and battery was replaced because they said it was bad. After a couple of days, hatch is acting up again like it has its own mind. Fortunately, it has not open while driving but warning light will come on saying it is not secure. Stop and reclose, repeat. Ugh. Infiniti is picking up tomorrow to have another look at the system. Hopefully they can repair because we love our vehicle otherwise.
The contact owns a 2022 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while driving above 60 MPH, the driver's side mirror would vibrate, impairing visibility of surrounding vehicles. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure also occurred while driving on rough or bumpy road surfaces. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact notified a second dealer, Ramsey Infinity (535 NJ-17 S, Ramsey, NJ 07446), who advised that it was a known failure; however, they could not assist. The vehicle was then taken to a third dealer, Edison Infiniti (842 US-1, Edison, NJ 08817), where the mirror and the mirror housing where replaced; however, the failure persisted. The third dealer informed the contact that he needed to wait until the manufacturer had developed a remedy for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed awareness of the failure. The contact was informed that he would be not

The vehicle does start after being parked overnight. This has happened on over 15+ occasions and counting. Once jump started, warning lights appear on the dash display. Already brought it in for service 2x, battery changed 1x and the battery change solution is not working. The problem is still repeating. Vehicle is being driven sufficiently daily to charge the battery, therefore this should not be happening on a new vehicle. I noticed there has been another complaint.
No incidents. Headlight has a blackout area in the left headlight. Dealership service department could not fix.
When I'm pressing the brakes on the car at all speeds (more noticeable at slower speeds) the car jerks before it comes to a complete stop. When the car is first turned on, the cars brakes smoothly. Unfortunately, after a few times braking, the car will jerk before the car fully stops. At times , the jerk is minimal, where only I feel it. Other times, my passengers feel it and the whole car moves. Another issue I'm having with the vehicle is when pressing the brakes, the car takes a while to slow down, causing me to have to push the brakes with more force than usual, which is a problem especially driving in city streets. I took the car to the service department and they said they didn't feel what I described when they took the vehicle for a test drive. They did suggest I bring the car back if the problem continues. I'm concerned because I had major electrical problems with this vehicle already and I've only had this car for 3 1/2 months. Please help get these issues addressed. T
