Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2015 Q60 is electrical system with 1 filings, followed by fuel/propulsion system (1) and unknown or other (1). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.
NHTSA currently has 7 investigation files overlapping the 2015 Q60. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. This report relates to NHTSA campaign ID# 10V074000 "Fuel gauge reading may be incorrect." My car has the same symptom as described in the above recall case - fuel gauge shows one-third tank of fuel remaining when the fuel tank is empty. Recall was in 2010 so my car model, 2015 Infiniti Q60 Coupe, is not listed in the recall but exhibits the same problem with a dangerous consequence of losing both power steering and power brake. I have run out of fuel twice, second time after the fuel pump and fuel sending unit were replaced. Luckily I avoided crashing in both cases. That would not have been the case if I was on a busy freeway or if my wife was driving. Dealer that I have contacted simply says that my car model is not included in the recall. Pls expand the recall list of model to include my car model, and other models since 2010.
