I purchased a new 2008 Infiniti M-35 equipped with technology package that included navigation. My car has 74,000 miles and needs a map update. I tried to purchase from Infiniti the CD update in which I found out was discontinued in 2020. I was told to use my mobile device in which reminded Infiniti to do so would violate state law and creates a safety hazard. Considering 15 year parts availability the update should be available. I believe Infiniti should provide a navigation update to help insure safety before someone is killed.

YES....THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD IS LITERALLY MELTING.....IT'S BECOME STICKY AND SUPER SHINY. DURING THE DAY (IN BRIGHT SUNSHINE), I CAN HARDLY SEE THE ROAD BECAUSE OF THE REFLECTION FROM THE DASHBOARD....TRUST ME, IT'S THAT BAD. WHEN I SEARCHED THIS PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET, I FOUND THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. THERE ARE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF REPORTED MELTING DASHBOARDS. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND ALMOST RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT MANY TIMES.
