Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.
NHTSA currently has 7 investigation files overlapping the 2007 M. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. 2011 INFINITI M37X. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO FAILED VOICE RECOGNITION BLUETOOTH SYSTEM *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO SYNC HIS I-PHONE TO THE BLUETOOTH SYSTEM, HE IMMEDIATELY FOUND THERE WERE NUMEROUS FAILURES IN THE VOICE RECOGNITION BLUETOOTH SYSTEM. THE DEALER VERIFIED THE ERROR AND ALSO REPLACED THE MICROPHONE IN THE VOICE RECOGNITION BLUETOOTH SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM FAILED APPROXIMATELY 1 OUT OF 4 OR 1 OUT OF 5 TIMES WHEN IT WAS USED. A FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE WAS SENT OUT TO TEST THE SYSTEM IN FEB 2012. INFINITI M45 - 2007. WHEN THE DOORS ARE LOCKED, YOU CANNOT OPEN THE DOORS WITH THE HANDLE, UNLESS YOU PHYSICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS FIRST. I BELIEVE IN AN EMERGENCY, AN OCCUPANT IN THE CAR COULD PANIC AND NOT GET OUT. THEY WOULD BELIEVE THEY ARE TRAPPED IN THE CAR. THE CAR DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOCK WHEN YOU PUT IT INTO GEAR OR START THE CAR, LIKE MOST OTHER MAKES. THIS POTENTIALLY COULD LEAD TO THIS VEHICLE BEING CARJACKED MORE THAN OTHERS, SINCE MANY PEOPLE FORGET TO LOCK THEIR DOORS.
I CONTACTED BBB BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO GET A SATISFACTORY RESOLUTION FROM INFINITI REGARDING MY SEAT MOVEMENT PROBLEM IN MY 2006 INFINITI M35. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON JANUARY 22, 2006 FROM GLENDALE INFINITI. BY MARCH I WAS ALREADY EXPERIENCING MOVEMENT WITH MY DRIVER'S SEAT WHEN ACCELERATING OR BRAKING. MOVEMENT IS LARGE ENOUGH TO CAUSE MY BODY TO LEAP FORWARD AND, ON OCCASION, CAUSE A SLIGHT BIT OF WHIPLASH. I BROUGHT IN MY VEHICLE MANY TIMES TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED. THEY REPLACED THE SEAT TRACK TWICE BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. NOW THEY ARE CLAIMING IT IS NORMAL OPERATION AND ARE REFUSING TO REPAIR IT. *JB
