Within that volume, owners reported 7 crashes, 2 fires, 9 injuries, and 0 fatalities. No NCAP 5-star crash-test rating is available for this model year in the federal database.
Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2013 JX35 is air bags with 84 filings, followed by power train (76) and electrical system (35). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 7 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 7 investigation files overlapping the 2013 JX35. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

The front and rear subframes of my 2013 Infiniti JX35 has experienced severe corrosion, perforation, and structural weakening, resulting in an unsafe driving condition. The corrosion is extensive enough to compromise suspension geometry, stability, and overall vehicle control. A structurally compromised subframe poses a serious risk of loss of control, increased stopping distance, and potential crash. A certified mechanic confirmed the vehicle is unsafe to drive due to imminent risk of subframe failure. This defect is premature, systemic, and wellâdocumented across the Infiniti JX35/QX60 and Nissan Pathfinder platforms.

My Infiniti driver's seat malfunctioned, crushed and pinned me, and ripped my hip out of socket when I was extracted. I'm being scheduled for surgery for a labral tear. Seat malfunctioned again in the Infiniti Roseville parking lot, and the Infiniti agent stated, on video, that the seat "motor is going out." The supervisor on duty, Micah, refused to fix the seat and Infiniti Roseville texted that the death trap seat is "operating as designed." I have the video clearly showing the seat malfunctions and is a danger to myself, my children and everyone on the roadways. The officer attending the scene when I was trapped and injured stated I'm lucky to be alive, because if the seat malfunctioned while I was driving and the airbag went off while I was pinned to the steering wheel, I would be dead. The dash had every light on possible when the seat malfunctioned and froze entirely. The car is available to be inspected, and I'm terrified to drive it if the seat is plugged in because it will cru

My transmission has been going in and out while on the highway and main roads, jumps when taking off at lights and sounds like itâs not shifting gears causing a safety risk to me and my family and other on the road. I service my transmission fluid as recommend in the handbook and online reporting. infinity has a factory warranty on my vehicle but when I check the recall list it doesnât show any recalls. Iâve been experiencing this with several jx35 infinityâs due to the cvt transmissions and would really like to have this as a recall because itâs such a common issue with these vehicles. Iâve had the same vehicle prior to this one and paid to have the transmission replaced but it still had the same issues down the road.
While driving on the freeway, the vehicle's driver assistance system suddenly became unavailable. Although the car was still able to move, the transmission would not shift gears. The engine RPMs rose unusually high â when applying pressure to the gas pedal, the RPMs could reach 4,000 to 5,000, but the vehicle accelerated very slowly. I could only maintain a speed of around 50â60 mph. It felt like the transmission was stuck in one gear and the power was not being properly delivered to the wheels. This limited acceleration and loss of responsiveness created a significant safety concern on the freeway. The following day, the check engine light turned on. I took the vehicle to AutoZone for a diagnostic scan, which returned multiple fault codes: P0840 (Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch A Circuit), P0715 (Input/Turbine Speed Sensor A), and P0746 (Pressure Control Solenoid A Performance or Stuck Off). After researching the issue, I found that many other Infiniti JX35 owners have

The subframe on this car has severely deteriorated causing it to be unsafe to drive. Had 2 individual repair shops to inspect and they both shops said it is too dangerous to drive. This car was bought new and one family owned. The car has 130,000 miles and is in pristine shape. We have been driving car until we heard a noise in rear of car and immediately had it inspected. How many other lives could be in danger because of this issue. Have reported this to Nissan and exoculated it, they have no interest in seeing this car and the potential for it causing fatal accidents without individuals being aware of the dangerous subframe.
My entire chassis is rotting and I want to know if there is any way to file a complaint and have the dealer fix it.
I was stopped at a stop sign. When I tried to make my turn/proceed my vehicle putted through the turn. It wouldnât go over 5 mph it seemed. Luckily I made it out of the way before the oncoming traffic got to me. I pulled over turned the car off and then back on & it worked good enough to get me home. I took it to a mechanic and was informed it was the transmission. I did some research and found this is a common issue with this vehicle. For some reason my vehicle is not listed on the recall list, though it is exhibiting all the same issues others reported. Car is currently sitting until I can afford a new transmission. Sadly Iâm still making payments on it.
Transmission was replaced twice and they are saying the transfer case is now faulty.

Airbag light continuously flashes, I read that there were recalls with Nissan/Infiniti airbags and my model and year was included so I took it to the dealer to have it checked. Infiniti of Lynnwood can't find the problem, they said all the sensors were fine and diagnosed it as; "98820-3JA9B - Sensor-Side Airbag center. Airbag diagnosis sensor to start, this is the first step, will have to test further if not corrected after replacement". The service dealer said that it's the first step to figure out what's wrong, the quote was $2,120.96, he said it might fix it and can be a money pit. My concern is that my car might have been missed in the airbag recall.
