MY 2010 G37 INFINITI IS EQUIPPED WITH MICHELIN PILOT SPORT A/S 3 TIRES, SIZE 245/45R18. ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE 30 DAYS AND WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH ON HIGHWAY, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED BAD AND NOT DRIVABLE AND HAD TO BE TOWED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED BECAUSE IT DID NOT INVOLVE ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE TIRE WAS A REPLACEMENT TIRE. WHEN PARKING THE VEHICLE AND GETTING OUT WITH THE KEYS IN HAND AND NOT OUT TURNING OFF THE ENGINE, THERE IS NOT SOME TYPE OF WARNING SO THAT ONE DOESN'T LEAVE A RUNNING CAR IN A CLOSED GARAGE. I WAS DRIVING ALONG AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH (SPEED LIMIT) IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF A 3 LANE ROAD AND APPROACHED A RED LIGHT. I BRAKED, BUT INSTEAD OF THE CAR SLOWING DOWN, IT STARTED ACCELERATING VERY FAST. I PRESSED DOWN ON THE BRAKE AS HARD AS I COULD BUT THE CAR CONTINUED SPEEDING UP.
