The 2007INFINITIG35 carries 149 consumer safety complaints in NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation database for this specific model-year cohort. Within that volume, owners reported 10 crashes, 1 fire, 6 injuries, and 0 fatalities. No NCAP 5-star crash-test rating is available for this model year in the federal database.
Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2007 G35 is air bags with 26 filings, followed by electrical system (17) and engine (10). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 3 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 7 investigation files overlapping the 2007 G35. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

The contact owns a 2007 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that the passenger's side air bag warning light was flashing. The vehicle was taken to a Toyota dealer for an oil change, and the contact requested a diagnostic test of the air bag warning light. The dealer retrieved DTC: B1081; and the contact was informed that the passenger's side seat belt harness needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was later informed that the vehicle was previously repaired under an unknown related recall. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

after being garaged for over 10 years the rear cross body member has severe rust rendering the car unsafe to drive . The rest of the body has little to no rust. I was unable to climb under the car to get better pictures but I did visually confirm while at my mechanics garage.
I own 3 Infiniti G35's (2006, 2006, & 2007) and all 3 had this same exact problem! The fuel gauge reads a level higher than the vehicle actually has causing the cars check engine light to come on and the car runs out of gas and stalls with no notice. One time it almost caused a crash! I have replaced 2 Clusters and am now being told 3rd Infiniti cluster needs to be replaced. Obviously this is a major issue and very costly to repair amongst 06 & 07 Infiniti G35's. Please look into this!!

The contact owns a 2007 Infiniti G35. The contact stated while 35 MPH, the passengerâs side air bag deployed without warning. The contact stated that there was no crash. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the vehicle was not diagnosed because the tech was not a specialist on air bag failures. I am having issues with the fuel system, gas gauge doesnât read correctly, my car doesnât allow me to put in more than $2 of fuel every few minutes, I have been stranded on the road twice now because the gauge doesn't read correctly, I have replaced everything to replace and the problem still persists, This is unsafe and very unfortunate to have to deal with

My gas gauge doesnât read correctly, Iâve replaced the required parts that should have fixed the problem but it still doesnât read right, after some research I found it was a cluster problem and so I donât ever know how much gas I have, I ran out of gas on the road and was stranded for 2 hours waiting for help this is not safe and it is very terrifying to not know where the gas level is at. The vehicle also doesnât take gas correctly. Every pump clicks the fuel shut off every 2 seconds. Iâm sure itâs related to my gas gauge

I was at stop light and G35 jolted. At the next light the car completely turned off and all the power of the car went dead. Nothing was lit at all. Had a power boost with jumper cables and the car started right up. Luckily I was a few blocks away from the house, but it was scary since my kids were in the car and the car turned off crossing the intersection. The car turns on, but I am not trusting in driving it anywhere. There is not check engine light on or warning. I was told battery was fine a C1109 code came up, stating low voltage. Possible issues with the ABS or crank position sensor, which under o1v357 recall, these cars were impacted, but this Infiniti was not included, and it should have been. I exclusively took auto to Infiniti for maintenance until around 2018 and I never had them mention anything to me about these issues.

11/28/2019: THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM/CENTER STACK RESET AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER ALL THE DASH LIGHTS LIT UP AND THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE. THE VEHICLE WAS BLOCKS AWAY FROM HOME AND WE WERE ABLE TO DRIVE IT BACK WITHOUT ISSUE. TOOK IT TO AN INFINITI DEALER WHO SAID IT WAS TRANSMISSION RELATED. REPAIRS WERE DECLINED AS THIS DID NOT SOUND ACCURATE AND I WANTED A SECOND OPINION. TRANSMISSION SHOP LOOKED IT OVER AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION. AN INDEPENDENT SHOP ALSO LOOKED IT OVER AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. 7/1/2020: THE CENTER STACK TURNED OFF AND BACK ON AND CAR ENGINE DIED. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER. MOST WARNING LIGHTS WERE ON AND THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS ON FULL BLAST AND COULDN'T TURN IT OFF. TRIED TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND IT WOULDN'T TURN OFF. THE ENGINE KEPT RUNNING. DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME AND THE SPEEDOMETER WAS INOP AND ALL LIGHTS WERE ON BUT CAR SEEMED TO DRIVE OK AT THAT MOMENT. ONCE HOME THE CAR WOULDN'T TURN OFF. YOU'D PRESS THE BU

ON 5 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS NOW THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW WENT DOWN ON IT'S OWN WITHOUT ME TOUCHING THE SWITCH AND WHEN I GO TO PUT IT BACK UP IT WILL NOT GO. I HAVE TO UNPLUG THE BATTERY WAIT 30 SECONDS AND THEN PLUG IT BACK FOR IT TO WORK. AFTER THE SECOND TIME THAT IT HAPPENED I WENT TO THE CAR SHOP AND THEY CHARGED ME $700 TO FIX THE MOTOR THEN 2 WEEKS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE FIFTH TIME AND FINAL STRAW THAT IT HAPPENED WAS TODAY ON 6/12/2020 WHEN I HAD MY 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN CAR ON THE HIGHWAY DOING 70 ON THE INTERSTATE AND IT WENT DOWN AND ALL THAT WIND HIT HER FACE AND SHE STARTS CRYING AND I CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE THERE IS NO SHOULDER WHERE I WAS AT AND IT WAS ANOTHER 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE NEXT EXIT SO NOW I AM MAKING A COMPLAINT FOR IT NOW. *TR

WHILE DRIVING, MY INFINITI G-35 LOOSES ENGINE POWER AND THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT NOTICE ALONG WITH SUDDEN LACK OF POWER STEERING. MY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE BACK A SHORT TIME LATER. SEVERAL CARS HAD TO SWERVE FROM HITTING ME. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO GET A DIAGNOSTICS AND IT'S SAYING CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR/ CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. THE ENGINE SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING START HAPPENING OTHER TIMES SAME WAY. THIS HAPPENED ON THE EXPRESSWAY AND MAIN ROADS. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT. MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ALSO FLASHING RED AND HIGHLIGHTED PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT OFF IN YELLOW NEAR CLOCK. ENGINE SHUTTING OFF DUE TO CRANKSHAFT SENSOR WITH AIRBAG MALFUNCTION. ENGINE ALSO SHUTS OFF AT STOP LIGHTS.
