Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.

NHTSA currently has 21 investigation files overlapping the 1999 HYUNDAI, and 1 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. WHEN ENGINE IS COLD AND ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED THE CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE. DEALER HAS WORKED ON CAR FOR 3 DAYS IN CONJUNCTION WITH HYUNDAI'S TECH LINE WITHOUT SUCCESS. COULD PROVE TO BE DANGEROUS WHEN ENTERING TRAFFIC. *AK

20000427EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS

I GAVE MY DAUGTHER THIS CAR BASED ON MANY GOOD REVIEWS. HOWEVER AFTER DRIVING IT AT NIGHT I NOTICE I COULD NOT SEE MORE THEN THREE (3) STRIPS ON THE DRIVER SIDE. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER WHO SAID THAT IT WAS WITHIN LIMITS. SO OFF I GO. COMING HOME ON A DARK COUNTRY ROAD I HIT A GRABAGE BAG THAT WAS ON MY SIDE OF THE DOTTED LINE, BUT I COULD NOT AVOID HITTING IT AT 50MPH. FROM THE TIME I SAW IT IN MY HEADLIGHTS, (AGAIN CAN ONLY SEE THREE DOTTED LINES DOWN THE ROAD) LEFT ME WITH NOT ENOUGH TIME TO AVOID HITTING THE BAG. THIS IS THE WORST PART OF THE CAR AND TO ME HAS CREATED A MAJOR CONCERN THAT THE CAR IS NOW FOR SALE AND THE CAR WILL NOT BE DRIVIN AT NIGHT.*AK
