HYUNDAI IS RECALLING 532,633 MY 2006-2007 ACCENT, ENTOURAGE, SONATA, MY 2007 AZERA, ELANTRA AND SANTA FE, MY 2005-2007 TUCSON AND MY 2007-2008 VERACRUZ VEHICLES. THE STOP LAMP SWITCH IN THE AFFECTED VEHICLES MAY MALFUNCTION. A MALFUNCTIONING STOP LAMP SWITCH MAY CAUSE THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO NOT ILLUM

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000. ..UPDATED 04/18/13 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER HEARING A STRANGE CREAKING AND CLICKING SOUND OVER A PERIOD OF MONTHS. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT INSPECTED. THE DEALER STATED THERE WAS A SPLIT IN THE RIGHT OUTER TIE ROD, WHICH HE AUTHORIZED THEM TO FIX. HOWEVER, A MONTH LATER, THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER, BECAUSE THE SOUND HAD RETURNED. THE TECHNICIAN FOUND THE FRAME BUSHING HAD WORN OUT. THE CONSUMER AUTHORIZED THEM TO REPLACE THE FRAME BUSHING. WHILE REPLACING THE BUSHING, THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THAT THE BUSHING HAD NO RESISTANCE AND IT WENT IT WITH LITTLE FORCE.
