HAVE OWNED THE 9195 ACCENT SINCE 2000. DRIVERS WINDOW HANDLE BROKE WITHIN 2 YEARS, REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF WINDOW ASSEMBLY. OUTSIDE AND INSIDE DRIVERS DOOR HANDLES BROKE; MAKING GETTING IN AND OUT THE DRIVERS DOOR NOW IMPOSSIBLE UNLESS I PAY $300 TO HAVE THEM BOTH REPLACED AS WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE OUTSIDE (WHICH THERE IS ENOUGH HANDLE LEFT TO AT LEAST GET IN THE CAR). I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANOTHER ACCENT IN FORESEEABLE FUTURE. CHEAP QUALITY ALL AROUND. *AK

THERE WAS A PREVIOUS RECALL ON THIS CONTROL ARM IT WAS CAMPAIGN NUMBER 02V341000. SERVICE WAS DONE BY HYUNDAI IN 9/2003 AND PART CORRODED AND BROKE IN 1/2007. EITHER SERVICE WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY OR POOR QUALITY PARTS WERE USED. *NM

THE MANUFACTURER HAD PROVIDED THE RECALL NUMBERS TO THE CONTACT AND REFERRED THE ISSUE BACK TO THE SERVICE DEALER. THE SERVICE DEALER DETERMINED THE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY HAD PASSED FOR A FREE REPLACEMENT PART.

THIS PROBLEM ONLY HAPPENS WHEN IT IS HOT OUTSIDE OR I HAVE TAKEN A LONG DRIVE, LIKE ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE HAD TRANSMISSION SPECIALISTS EXAMINE THE TRANSMISSION AND TEST ALL THE SENSORS TWICE. AS A RESULT OF THAT, THE CONSUMER FELT THAT HYUNDAI SHOULD REIMBURSE FOR THE AMOUNT OF $1989.73 FOR REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS. *CB THE CONSUMERS CLAIM WAS DENIED, BECAUSE THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO PRODUCE THE CONTROL ARMS FOR ANALYSIS.*JB
THIS CAR HAD LESS THAN 40,000 MILES WHEN WE PURCHASED IT IN AUGUST, 2003. SINCE THAT TIME, BOTH OF THE FRONT DOOR HANDLES HAVE BROKEN FROM THE OUTSIDE, FORCING THE DRIVER TO OPEN THE CAR FROM THE BACK DOORS. THE COST OF REPAIR WILL BE OVER $200. *LA
