TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA X650L. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE COUNTER SHAFT STRIPPED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER BEFORE REPAIRING THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO REPAIR THE SHAFT FREE OF CHARGE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
