HONDA MOTORCYCLE'S FRAME BROKE. THE FRAME SUPPORT WAS DAMAGED, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO DROP FROM THE FRAME OF THE MOTORCYCLE. CURRENTLY , MOTORCYCLE WAS AT THE HONDA DEALER, WHO OFFERED TO WELD THE FRAME. THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE TO THE CONSUMER, WHO WAS VERY UNHAPPY, AND FEARED FOR HIS LIFE IF THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOLVED. *AK

THE SPLINES ON THE FINAL DRIVE GEAR AND FINAL DRIVE FLANGE WERE COMPLETELY DRY AND RUSTED. *MR HONDA FAILED TO LUBRICATE THE FINAL DRIVE SPLINES, DUE TO THEIR LACK OF MENTIONING OF THE CRITICAL MAINTENANCE IN THE MANUAL. THE CONSUMER FOUND THE PROBLEM AS THE TIRES WERE BEING CHANGED. UPON REMOVAL, THE REAR WHEEL SPLINES ON THE FINAL DRIVE GEAR/FINAL FLANGE WERE COMPLETELY RUSTED AND SHOWED SEVERE WEAR. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DETERMINED THAT THE EXCESSIVE WEAR WAS DUE TO A LACK OF MAINTENANCE. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT OF THE WORN PARTS. (MODEL/GL 1500CF VALKYRIE INTERSTATE) *SC *JB
