Upon landing in the water, the contact attempted to exit the motorcycle but the seatbelt would not detach. As the contact struggled to release himself, his girlfriend who was also on the motorcycle, made three separate attempts to release the seat belt and was finally successful on the third attempt. As his girlfriend was able to pull him from out of the water, the contact was blue and unresponsive after being underwater for nearly 5 minutes. The contact's girlfriend was able to perform CPR on the contact and he was able to regain consciousness. EMS arrived on the scene and checked his vitals; the contact refused to be taken to the local hospital and was taken home by a sheriff. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MOTORCYCLE STATED THAT THE SEATS WERE OVERHEATING TO THE POINT OF CAUSING BURNS TO THE SKIN. XTREME POWERSPORTS (1019 US-301, TAMPA, FL 33619, (813) 626-6060) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS A KNOW ISSUE AND THAT THE SEATS NEEDED TO BE PROPERLY INSULATED. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED.
