Vehicle (2-owner, all svc records), involved in a head-on collision, with approximately 75% of impact/damage to the Driverâs front (see photos). The passenger front (25% of impact) airbag deployed, the DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG did NOT deploy. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA ELEMENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE KEY WAS NOT IN THE IGNITION AND THERE WAS NO ONE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT RESIDENCE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.

HOWEVER THE DRIVER AIR BAG DID NOT GO OFF. MY DAUGHTER WENT FORWARD AND IT AFFECTED HER JAW. WE ARE CONCERNED THAT THE DRIVER AIRBAG DID NOT EVEN GO OFF TO PROTECT HER. THE POLICE EVEN COMMENTED ON IT. HER CAR MAY BE UNFIXABLE WE WILL KNOW SOON. WE WANT TO REPORT THIS FOR OTHERS SAFETY.
