THIS IS A MOTORCYCLE MISHAP. WHILE EXITING FREEWAY I ENCOUNTERED A PAVEMENT DEPRESSION APPROX ONE INCH DEEP WITH A TWO FOOT DIAMETER. SUSPENSION WAS INEFFECTIVE IN ABSORBING THE SHOCK OF THIS EVENT. THE SHARP UPWARD MOTION OF THE HANDLEBARS KNOCKED MY HANDS OFF. WHEN THE REAR WHEEL HIT THE DEPRESSION THE WHEEL LEFT THE GROUND AND CAUSED THE BIKE TO CAREEN TO THE LEFT AND LEAVE THE RAMP INTO VEGETATION BEFORE CONTROL WAS REGAINED. I WAS NOT INJURED DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL. POINT HERE IS I HAVE BEEN RIDING ALL SORTS OF MOTORCYCLE FOR OVER FORTY YEARS. I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT INEXPERIENCED RIDERS WOULD HAVE FARED MUCH WORSE. THERE IS AN ENGINEERING DEFICIENCY IN THE CALIBRATION OF THE FRONT AND REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS. THEY SIMPLY DO NOT ABSORB SHOCK, THEY ARE DANGEROUS. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH HONDA REGARDING THIS.
