I JUST BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE AND THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON AFTER I BOUGHT IT I'VE GONE TO SPECIALIST TO GET THIS FIXED AND IT'S STILL BROKEN AND NOW I CAN'T GET A STICKER BECAUSE OF THE DEFECTIVE AIR BAGS.

20170903FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY AT THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK JUST UNDER THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT DEVELOPS CRACKS BECAUSE OF IT BEING MADE OF PLASTIC.THIS HAPPENED ON MY CAR. QUITE A BIT OF FUEL LEAKS OUT OF THESE CRACKS WHEN OPERATING THE AUTOMOBILE. THE AVERAGE PERSON MIGHT NOT EVER KNOW THIS IF IT WAS ALWAYS PARKED OUTSIDE. THE POTENTIAL FOR FIRE OR EXPLOSION IS RATHER PRONOUNCED BECAUSE OF WHERE IT SITS. IF HONDA IS GOING TO USE PLASTIC IN ITS FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM THEN LET THEM MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T LEAK YEARS DOWN THE ROAD. I HAVE READ ABOUT THIS ON THE INTERNET FROM OTHER 2002 CIVIC OWNERS. MY CIVIC IS NOT AN SI BUT IT WAS THE ONLY 02 CIVIC LISTED ON YOUR SITE . WE HAD THE PUMP PUMP ASSEMBLY REPLACED. IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT THIS ISSUE COULD LEAD TO TERRIBLE ACCIDENTS TO OTHER OWNERS

WHEN GIVEN MY VIN, THE HONDA RECALL SITE GIVES BACK THE WRONG MODEL OF CAR. MY CAR IS A CIVIC AND IT IS HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE THAT ALL THE 2002S EXCEPT MINE NEED THE TAKATA RECALL.
