Touch screen on console has lots of ghost-touches in warm weather operating conditions. The audio screen keeps switching from FM to USB MP3 player, and goes into settings or prompts for factory reset while driving, and without touching it. Also, Android AutoPlay navigation keeps jumping around on the map, and giving excessive warnings for next turn, without touching it. This is an EXTREME driver distraction, esp. while trying to use navigation. Local dealer was not able to reproduce in their shop on a cool day. They told me they had 12 other complaints of this issue, and no fix available from Honda, as of Oct. 2025.

The infotainment system in my 2022 Honda Accord poses a clear safety risk. After 2.5 years of ownership, it consistently glitches while using Apple CarPlay: the screen rapidly and uncontrollably clicks through apps, exits navigation or changes the windows within navigation, and even turns the radio on and off on its own. In this situation, which now occurs daily, the screen freezes and is unresponsive. I have to repetitively press the screen until it responds, which can take minutes. This forces my attention away from the road, particularly as I'm trying to navigate. It is distracting, frustrating, and dangerous. And -- this issue is not isolated to my Accord. Postings in online forums commonly point to this issue with the 2022 Accord. This has not been inspected by the manufacturer and it has not been confirmed by a dealer. However, I have a recording of the screen glitching and would be more than happy to share. Thank you for your time and consideration. A car’s main screen seizi

The infotainment system is ghosting. It changes and blanks out the screen randomly or when a phone call is received. It also will constantly beep when changing or shutting off the radio. This has been a known issue for Honda since 2017 and affects 2017-2023 Accords and Pilots. The dealer confirmed the issue through diagnostics but said Honda has no plans at this time to solve the problem. Also, the iPhone charger has never worked in the car and the Service Department at Serra Honda in O'Fallon, Illinois said there are no plans for Honda to fix the problem. These issues need to be corrected and the owners financially compensated for features that do not work and were sold to consumers knowingly by the manufacturer.

1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The infotainment touchscreen is malfunctioning. It registers false inputs “ghost touches” without any user interaction. Yes, the vehicle and affected screen are available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The ghost touches cause the screen to randomly change menus, activate or deactivate features, and make it difficult to use navigation, audio, and android auto with maps. This creates distraction while driving, as I have to focus on regaining control of the screen instead of the road, putting myself and others at risk. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The issue has not yet been officially confirmed by a dealer or independent service center, but it is recurring and can be demonstrated on demand. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police

The infotainment screen glitches out and selects options on the screen without human interaction. Whenever it starts doing this screen input disables making the screen extremely distracting while driving. During one of my trip, while I was driving on the highway, the screen started going crazy on it's own. First it cancelled my directions from google maps and kept switching out the screen to different apps by clicking on it's own. It was so distracting I had to pull over and turn off the car to reset the screen. It happens randomly so it's nearly impossible to reproduce to get it repaired under warranty.

I am reporting two safety-related issues with my 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid. 1. Head Gasket Failure At approximately 93,500 miles, the head gasket failed without any prior warning signs. The vehicle had been regularly maintained at Honda dealerships, with one service done by a third-party mechanic around 87,000 miles. There were no engine warning lights or coolant leak warnings before the incident. The engine temperature warning suddenly appeared while driving, and I immediately stopped the car. A Honda dealership confirmed the head gasket failure and quoted over $4,000 for repairs. This kind of major engine failure is highly unusual for such a new vehicle and raises serious concerns about long-term engine durability or possible design flaws in the cooling system or head gasket components. 2. False Activation of Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) The vehicle’s automatic emergency braking system frequently activates or issues a warning while driving, even when there are no obstacles or

Touchscreen glitches by itself, clicking randomly on the screen and is unresponsive to touch. It started after 2 years of use after purchasing new, and has not resolved. Heat seems to make it worse. It is a safety issue as it'll click out of navigation, or become difficult/impossible to change settings.

20250701SERVICE BRAKES

Honda is using cheap brake pads/rotors on their cars. I was parked and went in reverse and the brake pads started squealing so loudly, something didn’t seem right. I’ve never heard this sound before and my family hasn’t either who’ve owned many cars before. I took it to the dealership and they were able to reproduce the sound. They said nothing could be done even though the brake pads are too thick. This seems to happen when it’s humid, raining or cold. The dealership didn’t really care but this seems like a hazard. I’ve read on forums and researched online that this is a very common issue and nothing is being done to fix it. A recall should be issue because this can be a road hazard.

The head unit touch screen beings to have "ghost" touches which start basically changing everything that's available on the screen. This has led to suddenly loud music being played, navigation being moved around, etc. This causes distractions constantly as it's completely unexpected. The unit offers no way to turn it completely off so you're stuck with it doing stuff randomly. There's also no physical buttons to control any of the functions on the screen. It's basically forcing you to try to get it to stop doing random actions while you're driving.

The vehicles touchscreen system malfunctions and begins “phantom touching” buttons all over the top area of the screen. This results in excessive distractions to the driver as it attempts to make phone calls, start and stop navigation, change radio stations or source, and has loud beeping noises on each “phantom touch.” There is no way to disable the touchscreen or turn it off so each time you drive, these excessive distractions occur and the only “remedy” offered by Honda is to force the consumer to pay over $1000 out of warranty to replace the component.
