I STARTED TO NOTICE THIS ISSUE MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING IT USED FROM A PRIVATE PARTY. DURING THE WINTER TIME WHEN IT WAS PARTICULARLY COLD OUTSIDE, I NOTICED THAT MY POWER BRAKES WOULD START WORKING WHEN I FIRST START UP THE CAR. EVENTUALLY, I WOULD DISCOVER THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER CHECK VALVE WAS STICKING AND PREVENTING THE POWER BRAKES FROM BEING ACTIVE WHEN STARTING A VEHICLE IN THE COLD WEATHER. IT WAS VERY CONFUSING AT FIRST BECAUSE THERE WOULD BE STORED POWER BRAKES IN THE VACUUM BOOSTER FROM THE DAY BEFORE THAT WOULD BE USED UP WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY PARKING SPOT. HOWEVER, AS I WAS MOVING FORWARD AND SUBSEQUENTLY WANTING TO APPLY THE BRAKES, I FOUND THAT THE POWER BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING. THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME HARD AND WOULD NOT GO DOWN AND I HAD TO JAM ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AS HARD AS I COULD TO GET IT TO SLOW DOWN. HOWEVER, ONCE THE CAR ENGINE HAD BEEN ON FOR A WHILE, I WOULD HEAR A CLICK NOISE (PROBABLY THE CHECK VALVE UNSTICKING) AND THEN POWER BRAKES WERE RESTORED FOR THE REST

WHILE SLOWING DOWN ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, VEHICLE RAMMED INTO VEHICLE IN FRONT OF IT. ALL THE DAMAGE WAS TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVABLE AFTER THE COLLISION. DURING THE COLLISION THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED WHILE THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WAS NO PASSENGER IN THE CAR.

VERIFIED WITH HONDA THAT AIRBAGS WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION AT A HIGH SPEED (OVER 50 MPH) ON THE HIGHWAY (AFTER THE CAR IN FRONT STOPPED SUDDENLY) AND AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CAR PASSED PA STATE INSPECTION 3 DAYS BEFORE, AND THERE WERE NO WARNING OR INDICATOR LIGHTS ILLUMINATED.

AT ONE POINT I HAD NO POWER AS I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM SEATTLE TO PORTLAND WITH NO ACCELARATOR POWER. IT WAS LIKE I WAS COASTING AT 50 MPH FOR ABOUT 75 MILES UNTIL I REACHED MY HOME. I TOOK IT TO HONDA DEALER, THEY SAID IT WOULD COST ME OVER $4500.00 TO REPLACE THE IMA, WHICH WAS UNDER WARRANTY WHEN I FIRST TOOK IT IN IN 2009, 2010, AND AFTER. THEY SAID "DRIVE YOUR CAR MORE".
