TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD FHEV. WHEN THE CONTACT PRESSED THE ENGINE START BUTTON, A CLICK SOUND WAS HEARD, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT START. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND THE VEHICLE STARTED NORMALLY. AFTER APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR AND A HALF, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HONDA OF DOWNTOWN CHICAGO (1111 N CLARK STREET, CHICAGO, IL 60610) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STARTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE STARTER WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,400.
