TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 GMC YUKON XL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN TRAVELING AT A HIGH SPEED AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE BRAKES WOULD SPORADICALLY SLIP. THE SLIP WOULD OCCUR ON EVEN AND DRY PAVEMENT. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL AND THEY COULD OFFER NO ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THE FAILURE WAS THE SAME PROBLEM RECALLED FOR THE 2000-2002 YUKON UNDER RECALL CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V379000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK). DT*: THE CONTACT STATES THERE IS A NHTSA RECALL, CAMPAIGN 05V379000 REGARDING THE SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTI LOCK. THE VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS AS INDICATED IN THE RECALL; HOWEVER, IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO THE VIN. WHILE COMING TO A STOP AT 5 TO 10 MPH, THE BRAKES PULSATED . THIS OCCURRED ON ALL ROAD CONDITIONS, AND EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN. *AK UPDATED 02/07/06. *JB
