A SPRING FROM A LARGE VEHICLE ON 20TH STREET ENSLEY EXIT GOT INBEDED IN MY TIRE LAST NIGHT 1/17/17 AT ABOUT 7:50PM. WHICH MADE A BIG HOLE AND I AM IN NEED OF A TIRE. I CALLED AAA AND HAD TO GET IT TOWED BECAUSE OF HOW FAST AIR CAME OUT AND ALDOT STOPPED TO HELP BUT HAD NO PLUGS. SO IT WAS TOWED

WHILE OPENING MY REAR LIFTGATE GLASS THE GLASS SEPARATED FROM THE HINGE HOLDING IT IN PLACE. THIS CAUSED A SAFETY CONCERN THAT THE ONLY THING KEEPING MY PASSEGNER COMPARTMENT SAFE WAS THE GLASS.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHILE REFUELING THE VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS, HOWEVER THE DETAILS OF THE DIAGNOSIS COULD NOT BE PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY ON 04/01/2015 WHEN MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER NEARLY CAUSING A WRECK. I PULLED OVER AND THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER ERROR WAS ILLUMINATED. I TURNED OFF MY TRUCK AND RESTARTED IT, I MANAGED TO MAKE IT HOME WITHOUT OTHER INCIDENT. THE NEXT DAY, IT DID IT AGAIN WHILE ON THE WAY TO THE SHOP. MY MECHANIC NARROWED THE PROBLEM DOWN TO THE ACCELERATOR SENSOR LOCATED ON THE GAS PEDAL. IT WAS REPLACED, BUT I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE THROTTLE BODY AS WELL. WHILE DOING RESEARCH ON THIS, I RAN ACROSS A NUMBER OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM IN NEWER VEHICLES. WHY HASN'T GM RECALLED THIS? DO PEOPLE HAVE TO GET HURT FIRST BEFORE ANYTHING IS DONE?

IN JUNE OF 2010 MY FUEL PUMP WENT OUT AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A SHOP AND FIXED 700.00. THEN IN JULY OF 2011 THE FUEL PUMP WENT OUT AGAIN, SAME THING HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED AND FIXED AT THE SAME SHOP ANOTHER 700.00. THEN AGAIN IN NOVEMBER OF 2012, TOWED TO SAME SHOP AND SAME PRICE. NOW HERE WE ARE 2014 AND MY FUEL PUMP JUST WENT OUT FOR THE FOURTH TIME. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING ABOUT A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD MY HUB BEARING REPLACED AND MY WHEEL ALMOST FELL OFF. JUST THIS PAST FEBRUARY I HAD A GAS LEAK FROM THE LINE AND A WHOLE TANK OF GAS WAS ON MY GARAGE FLOOR. I'M GLAD I JUST FOUND OUT DUE TO LOOKING ONLINE ABOUT ALL THE RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. NOW MY QUESTION IS WHO'S GOING TO REPLACE MY FUEL PUMP THIS TIME AND MAKE SURE I DON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM ANYMORE. *TR

I NEEDED TO SLOW DOWN ON THE BELT PARKWAY AND WHEN I APPLIED MY BRAKES, THE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR. FIGURING I MAY HAVE SOME BRAKES, I ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE AGAIN. THERE WAS NO RESPONSE OTHER THAN A SICKENING FEELING THAT I WOULD REAR-END SOMEONE. TO SLOW DOWN, I DROPPED THE GEAR SHIFTER TO LOWER DRIVE POSITIONS AND PUT ON THE 4-WAY FLASHERS. UPON EXITING THE PARKWAY, I WAS BARELY ABLE TO STOP FOR THE TRAFFIC LIGHT. FORTUNATELY NO ONE WAS AHEAD OF ME AND THERE WAS AN UPHILL GRADE TO SLOW ME. VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM REVEALED HYDRAULIC FLUID SOAKING THE AREA OF THE REAR DIFERENTIAL ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. A HARD STEEL BRAKE LINE WAS SEVERLY RUSTED AND FRAGILE TO THE POINT OF RUPTURE. THERE WAS STILL SOME FLUID IN THE MASTER BRAKE RESERVOIR. *TR

I NOTICED WET SPOTS ON THE ROAD UNDER THE TRUCK NEAR THE LEFT REAR WHEEL AFTER STOPPING. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE LINES ARE CORRODED IN MOST PLACES. THERE IS CURRENTLY A LEAK IN THE FEED LINE RUNNING TO THE BACK BRAKES AT A POINT NEAR THE LEFT REAR WHEEL. THE LINES LOOK AS IF THEY COULD FAIL IN MOST PLACES. CURRENTLY THE TRUCK IS NOTS DRIVABLE UNTIL THE BRAKE LINES ARE REPLACED. WE HAVE HAD OTHER NUMEROUS BRAKE ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE AS WELL. *JS

I PULLED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, AND FOUND THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I WAS ABLE TO GET BACK INTO THE DRIVEWAY. UPON INSPECTION, I FOUND THAT THE BRAKE LINE JUNCTION BEHIND THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL IS LEAKING DUE TO CORROSION. *TR

I BEGAN TO NOTICE THAT WHILE EXECUTING LOW SPEED STOPS (CITY DRIVING, STOP AND GO TRAFFIC) MY ABS SYSTEM WOULD ACTIVATE AND THE PUMP COULD BE HEARD AND FELT IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM. THIS OCCURRED IN ALL TYPES OF DRIVING CONDITIONS, PARTICULARLY ON DRY PAVEMENT AND AT LOW SPEEDS, WHERE ABS IS NOT NEEDED. THE RESULT OF THIS ABS ACTIVATION WAS DECREASED STOPPING POWER AT UNPREDICTABLE TIMES. THIS CREATED A SAFETY HAZARD AND ALMOST CAUSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. I ENDED UP DEACTIVATING MY ABS SYSTEM COMPLETELY TO CREATE A RELIABLE BRAKING SYSTEM. WHEN I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR MODEL, HOWEVER MY VEHICLE WAS NOT A PART OF ANY RECALL. *KB

WHEN I PUSHED DOWN TO CLOSE THE REAR GLASS, I NOTICED THAT THE GLASS DID NOT FIT TO CLOSE PROPERLY. I OPENED THE GLASS AND SAW THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE HINGE ON THE REAR GLASS WAS BROKEN AND PARTIALLY SEPARATED FROM THE REAR GLASS. THIS RESULTS IN AN UNSAFE CONDITION, AS THE REAR GLASS IS NOW SECURED TO THE TRUCK WITH A SINGLE HINGE AND THE LATCH. I AM WORRIED THAT IF I DRIVE THE TRUCK ON THE HIGHWAY THE WHOLE REAR GLASS WILL HAVE A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE AND INJURE DRIVERS BEHIND ME. USING A PLASTIC HINGE AT A POINT UNDER HEAVY LOAD SEEMS LIKE AN OBVIOUS DESIGN FLAW. *KB

THERE WAS A RECALL ON GMC YUKON XL 2500 SERIES ABS SYSTEM CAMPAIGN ID # 05V379000 WHERE THE ABS SYSTEM WILL ENGAGE WHILE BRAKING CAUSING INCREASED BRAKING DISTANCE AND POTENTIAL CRASHES. THE PROBLEM OCCURS IN THE 1500 SERIES AS WELL WHY WAS THERE NOT A RECALL FOR THIS SERIES WHICH I HAVE AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH? I CALLED THE GMC HOTLINE AND MY LOCAL DEALER AND THEY TELL ME THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR MY MODEL AND I DON'T DRIVE MY VEHICLE BECAUSE I FEAR REAR ENDING SOMEONE OR ROLLING INTO AN INTERSECTION WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP. *TT

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
PULLING HORSE TRAILER WITH 2001 GMC YUKON XL, BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR, TOOK LONG DISTANCE TO STOP. MADE IT BACK HOME, SAW DRIPPING BRAKE FLUID AROUND LEFT REAR WHEEL WELL. PUT TRUCK ON FLOOR JACK, PULLED WHEEL. APPLIED BRAKE, OBSERVED BRAKE FLUID SQUIRT FROM PINHOLE IN SEVERELY CORRODED BRAKE LINE (THE LINE ATTACHED TO THE TOP OF THE REAR AXLE ON DRIVER SIDE). THE HOLE IS LOCATED IN THE STEEL BRAKE LINE WHERE IT JOINS THE JUNCTION WITH THE FLEXIBLE HOSE AND THE STEEL LINE RUNNING TO THE OPPOSITE WHEEL (NEAR CENTER OF REAR AXLE). WILL REPLACE LINE TODAY, WILL KEEP OLD PART (CORRODED LINE) AVAILABLE. ALL OTHER STEEL BRAKE LINES HAVE RUST IN PLACES. *TR
