WHEN STOPPING THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM ACTIVATES AT SLOW SPEED GREATLY INCREASING STOPPING DISTANCE. SPECIALLY WHEN TOWING MY BOAT. I HAD A SLIGHT FENDER BENDER WITH NO INJURIES. THIS CONDITION HAPPENS DAILY. MY WHEEL SPEED SENSORS WERE REPLACED BY A DEALER. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR YUKONS 2000 AND UP. OUR YUKON IS A 1999 WITH THE SAME ISSUE. ABS HAS CAUSED INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. BOTH AT LOW SPEED AND HIGH SPEED. DURING A STOP FROM 60 MPH TO A STOPPED CONDITION, ABS CAUSED BRAKING TO BE REDUCED FROM ABOUT 45 MPH DOWN. MINOR REAR END COLLISION RESULTED. ON PREVIOUS OCCASIONS, ABS HAS RELEASED BRAKING WHEN VEHICLE HAS GONE OVER A BUMP IN THE PAVEMENT, CAUSING INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE. THIS ISSUE APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO CAMPAIGN #05V379000. TL* - THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING HIS 1999 GMC YUKON AND COMING TO A STOP HE COULD HEAR THE ABS ENGAGED. WHILE TRYING TO STOP THE VEHICLE IT CONTINUED TO ROLL A FEW MORE FEET. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS HAPPENED EVERYDAY, AND HE TRIED TO GET THE DEALERSHIP TO DO SOMETHING TO FIX THE ABS. THE ABS PREVENTED HIM FROM COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. THIS FAILURE CAUSED A CRASH. I WONDER HOW MANY THOUSAND OF TIRES OUT THERE HAVE A NAIL OR FORIEGN OBJECT IN THEM RIGHT NOW, THAT WILL CAUSE THE B.F.GOODRICH TIRE TO FAIL AND CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. IT WO

ABS LOCKED UP WHILE AVOIDING HITTING A DEER. ALTHOUGH I STOMPED/STAYED AND STEERED TO THE LEFT, THE VEHICLE PROCEEDED FORWARD, SLIDING INTO A HILL AND GENTLY ROLLING OVER ONTO DRIVER SIDE. TIRES TRACKS ON DIRT ROAD SHOW THAT TIRES WERE TURNED AND LOCKED - PUSHING THE DIRT AND SLIDING, WHEREAS THEY SHOULD'VE PULSED. HAD THE ABS WORKED I'M SURE ACCIDENT WOULD'VE BEEN AVOIDED. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN REVERSE BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE. IT WAS PLACED BACK IN PARK AND LEFT RUNNING IN MY GARAGE. I GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE IN ORDER TO LOOK OVER THE EXTIERIOR FOR PROBLEMS; NONE FOUND. I THEN KICKED/PUSHED THE BACK BUMPER AND IMMEDIATELY HEARD A CLUNK, THE VEHICLE WAS THROWN INTO REVERSE AND HEADED AT ME. IT CAUSED A GREAT DEAL OF DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE, MY OTHER VEHICLE PARKED IN THE GARAGE AND MY HOUSE. I WAS ALMOST RUN OVER BY THIS DRIVER-LESS VEHICLE. I DO HAVE A WITNES
