I OWN A 1995 GMC VANDURA VIN # [XXX] WITH A DEFECTIVE SEAT BELT BUCKLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE MID CAPTAIN CHAIR. THE BUCKLE IS INOPERATIVE AND THE PLASTIC COMPONENTS IN THE BUCKLE MECHANISM HAVE CRYSTALLIZED AND CRUMBLED. THERE HAS BEEN NO ABUSE OR MISUSE INVOLVED IN THE FAILURE. SEAT BELTS ARE LEGALLY REQUIRED AND AS A SAFETY ISSUE I CANNOT USE THIS SEAT. I HAVE ADDITIONAL CONCERN THAT THE OTHER BUCKLES ARE ALSO DEFECTIVE AND UNSAFE. ROARING,HOWLING WHINEING NOISE IN REAR END AT 45-50 MPHCONTACTED DEALER GOT LETTER FROM DEALER SAYS NOTHING CAN BE DONE. *AK
BRAKING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING A REAR END IMPACT IN WHICH 3 PASSENGERS SUSTAINED INJURIES. THE ABS LOCKED FRONT WHEELS WHEN COMING TO A STOP. ROADWAY WAS WET AND VEHICLE BEGAN TO SKIT OUT OF CONTROL. PASSENGERS IN OTHER VEHICLE SUSTAINED INJURIES. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING 45MPH DRIVER SWERVED VEHICLE TO AVOID HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WENT OFF THE ROAD & HIT SOME TREES & A FENCE. UPON IMPACT WITH THE TREES & FENCE, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE FRONT END WAS SMASHED & THE WINDSHIELD POPPED OUT. SEAT BELTS HELD DRIVER. THE DRIVER STILL SUSTAINED SOME INJURIES. *AK
POOR ABS PERFORMANCE, WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED A SEVERE PULL TO THE LEFT IS EXPERIENCED. *AK
SLIDING DOOR IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CLOSE PROPERLY, AND ONCE IT IS CLOSED/LATCHED, THE DOOR GETS STUCK AND CAN ONLY BE OPENED FROM OUTSIDE. *DSH
SEAT BELT BUNCHES UP/LOCKS UP AT THE GUIDE, CAUSING EXCESSIVE WEAR/FRAYING. *DSH
