The 2010GMCDENALI carries 6 consumer safety complaints in NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation database for this specific model-year cohort. Within that volume, owners reported 0 crashes, 0 fires, 0 injuries, and 0 fatalities. No NCAP 5-star crash-test rating is available for this model year in the federal database.
Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2010 DENALI is unknown or other with 4 filings, followed by structure:body (1) and air bags (1). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.
NHTSA currently has 2 investigation files overlapping the 2010 DENALI. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. DASH HAS CRACKED IN A GARAGE KEPT DENALI. IT IS UNSIGHTLY AND SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. THE VEHICLE IS GARAGE KEPT WHEN NOT IN USE. I AM CONCERNED THAT DASHBOARD PIECES MAY INJURE THE DRIVER OR PASSENGERS DURING A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
Mileage: 91,325
WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE DASH CRACKED. THE DASH HAS CRACKED IN FRONT OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND THE CRACK GOES INTO THE AIRBAG SECTION. AS I DRIVE, THE WHOLE DASHBOARD BOUNCES UP AND DOWN AS IT IS NOW UNSTABLE. THIS IS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT MANY OTHER DRIVERS HAVE REPORTED ONLINE. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH BRINGS IT UP. IT WILL COST OVER $900 PLUS THE COST OF A WHOLE NEW DASHBOARD TO GET THIS FIXED AND THAT IS A QUOTE FROM AN INDEPENDENT, VERY ECONOMICAL REPAIR SHOP (NON-DEALERSHIP). I CANNOT AFFORD THIS AND WILL TRY TO USE TAPE. HOPEFULLY THE DASHBOARD DOESN'T BOUNCE OFF WHEN I'M DRIVING AND HOPEFULLY THE AIRBAG DOESN'T GO OFF. PLEASE SERIOUSLY CONSIDER A RECALL ON THIS. IT CRACKED ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO AND I ALMOST DIDN'T ENTER THIS CLAIM ON HERE. I TOLD MY DEALER, BUT THEY DIDN'T PURSUE IT FURTHER. IMAGINE ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO OR WHO TO TELL. THANKS FOR YOU HELP.

DASHBOARD CRACKING ALONG THE CONSOLE AND AROUND THE AIRBAG. SEEMS TO BE A DEFECT FLAW IN THE PRODCT USED FOR THE DASHBOARD
