Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.

NHTSA currently has 2 investigation files overlapping the 2008 C SERIES. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. WHY HAS MY 2008 GMC SIERRA NOT BEEN REPAIRED. I HAVE LOST FAITH IN GENERAL MOTORS. MY NEXT NEW VEHICLE WILL NOT BE A GM PRODUCT AS WAS MY LAST PURCHASE IN 2018. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN MY VEHICLE IN OVER 3 MONTHS AND WHEN I DO DRIVE IT, ITS JUST TO PICK UP THE FALLEN LIMBS IN MY 6 ACRE YARD. I HAVE NOT HAD AN INCIDENT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

FIRST WE WERE DRIVING OUT OF TOWN AND THE RADIO START GOING ON AND OFF, THE LOCKS BEGAN GOING UP AND DOWN UNTIL THE TRUCK LOST POWER. THE TRUCK LOSES POWER WITH OUT ANY REASON. WE HAVE CHECK THE BATTERY, EVERYTHING WITH OUT BEING ABLE TO DETERMINE WHY. AFTER FEW MINUTES THE TRUCK STARTS UP AND EVERYTHING GOES BACK TO NORMAL. I AM CONCERNED THAT ONE OF THESE DAYS THE TRUCK IS GOING TO SUDDENLY STOP AND MY SON COULD GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK FOR MY SON TO GO TO SCHOOL AND I DON'T FEEL HE IS SAFE ON IT FOR THIS ELECTRICAL OR IGNITION PROBLEM. *TR

I BOUGHT TWO NEW GMC VEHICLES, AN ACADIA AND A SIERRA 1500 PICKUP TRUCK. WHILE UNDER WARRANTY THE DOOR LOCKS STARTED STICKING AND HAD TO BE REPAIRED. A FEW MONTHS LATER IT STARTED AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY. THE SERVICE MANAGER REFUSED TO REPAIR THEM WITH OUT A $500.00 CHARGE FOR EACH DOOR. I REFUSED BEING VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT I WOULD BUY TWO VEHICLES AND RECEIVE SUCH SERVICE AFTER BAILING OUT THE COMPANY AS A TAX PAYER. ALL COMPANIES THAT WERE BAILED OUT BY OUR GOVERNMENT SHOULD STAND BEHIND THE BUYERS WHO STOOD BEHIND THEM. I WILL SEND THIS TO MY SENATORS AND CONGRESSMAN ALSO TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THIS WIDELY KNOWN DEFECT AND THEIR REFUSAL TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. MANY THOUSAND OF THESE ARE ON THE ROAD WITH DEFECTIVE DOOR LOCKS LEAVING OUR VEHICLES AND POSSESSIONS UNPROTECTED. *TR
