NHTSA currently has 38 investigation files overlapping the 2000 CONVENTIONAL. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. My name is [XXX]. I am an attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio. I would like to report a safety defect with a semi trailer that lacked a rear underride guard. On October 21, 2020, my client, [XXX] was catastrophically injured in a collision in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, when a tractor trailer impacted the rear of [XXX]Pontiac G6, shoving the G6 into the semi-trailer stopped ahead of [XXX] at a red light. [XXX] vehicle underrode the left rear and side of the trailer, causing extensive passenger compartment intrusion and severe, permanent injuries to [XXX]. This is just one instance of serious, avoidable injury being caused by inadequate underride protections. There are hundreds of fatalities and thousands of injuries caused by similar underride collisions each year. Truck trailers without adequate side and rear underride protection present an unreasonable risk of death or serious physical injury to the motoring public and should be addressed by the US government and industry safety officials i
