Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 10 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 177 investigation files overlapping the 2015 TRANSIT CONNECT, and 8 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

I am submitting this complaint to report an unresolved safety recall and the inability to obtain a timely inspection or repair, which I believe places me and my family at increased risk of a crash. My vehicle is a 2015 Ford Transit Connect. The vehicle is subject to Ford Safety Recall 25S89 and NHTSA Recall 25V572, concerning a failure of the rearview camera system. The rearview camera on my vehicle frequently displays a message stating âRear View Camera Unavailable, Contact Ford Dealershipâ and then goes to a black screen. This results in a complete loss of rear visibility while backing up, increasing the risk of a collision, especially involving pedestrians or other vehicles. I received the safety recall notice in September 2025. Since then, I have made numerous attempts to have the vehicle inspected and repaired. Despite repeated contact with my local dealership, has informed me that they cannot perform the inspection or recall repair because they do not have an SSCC repair proc

The detent designed to hold the passenger side sliding door open has malfunctioned due to what the dealership describes as a manufacturing defect commonly found in the 2015 Ford Transit Connect XLT/LWB. Dealer states dealer is unable to correct. When parked on an incline, the sliding door can violently slide forward with a significant potential for injury to a passenger, especially a young child, entering or exiting the vehicle. Dealer suggests taking the vehicle to a body shop to correct this defect at owner's expense.
i have sing of transmission fault service now
2015 Ford transit connect 150: while driving on the freeway 60-65 mph, the brakes seem to lock up without depressing the pedal, slowing to 40 mph and shaking uncontrollably. putting on the brake to exit the flow of traffic, braking caused the vehicle to shake even more finally by pumping the accelerator, the speed increased again. finally getting off of the freeway the brake pedal went to the floor. i had to pump the brake pedal until it finally reacted. less than a week later, getting on the freeway almost the exact thing happened. luckily i was a bit more prepared when i felt the shaking. today, driving the van back to our warehouse approx 15 miles on regular streets (not freeway driving) the brakes again went to the floor. master cylinder not leaking, brakes seem to be in good shape...but something is wrong we brought the vehicle to Sawgrass Ford in Sunrise Florida. they had it for over a month. they were unable to determine the problem and only made suggestions to complete
The vehicle receives a considerable amount of water through the windshield when it rains (it can be more than a liter depends of the time on the road) it runs down through the glass and also falls on the dash. It can cause visibility problems while driving because the water run on the the driver's side of the glass too.
Steering knuckle developed a crack through what appears to be defective casting of the part. Crack was noticed prior to separation of steering assembly. This could have created and extreme hazard if not noticed prior to total failure.
