DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE STARTED SMOKING WHILE PARKED IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE. EVENTUALLY THE VEHICLE WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT DETERMINED THE FIRE ORIGINATED FROM UNDER THE HOOD ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND WAS MORE THAN LIKELY OF AN ELECTRICAL NATURE. THERE WAS A POLICE REPORT FILED. THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. THE CONTACT RARELY USED THE CRUISE CONTROL. *AK

FORD RANGER MID 1990. STATE TROOPERS SAID THAT THE FUEL SHUT OFF DID NOT WORK, AFTER MY BROTHERS TRUCK HIT TWO SMALL TREES, AND THEN WENT ACROSS THE ROAD AND HIT A BAIL OF HAY, WHICH IS WHERE THEY SAID THE FIRE STARTED. I HAVE PICTURES, AND POSSESSION OF THE TRUCK IN OHIO. *AK
REAR DOORS WILL NOT STAY LOCKED, CAUSING CHILD TO FALL OUT OF VEHICLE WHILE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING AT 20MPH, AND NO WARNING. CHILD SUSTAINED INJURIES. DEALER NOTIFIED.*AK
LEFT REAR AXLE BROKE, INCLUDING WHEEL ASSEMBLY COMING OFF TRUCK WHILE BEING DRIVEN 50 MPH. LEAF SPRINGS HIT THE ASPHALT, CAUSING TRUCK TO ROLL.*AK THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER AND CAME TO A REST ON ITS TOP. THE VICTIM, DRIVER WAS EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE AND CAME TO REST SEVERAL FEET FROM THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER TRIED TO CORRECT THE VEHICLE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SKID LEFT. THIS IS WHAT CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO ROLL. *JG
PICK-UP GAUGE SHOWED HOT. GOT HELP AT NEAREST STATION AND REPLACED LOST COOLENT. SEEMED TO HAVE COOLED DOWN. DROVE ABOUT FOUR (4) MILES AND NOTICED SMOKE COMMING INTO CAB DOWN BY THE GEAR SHIFT IN FLOOR BOARD. IMMEDDIATELY PULLED IN TO A SCHOOL PARKING LOT AWAY FROM OTHER CARS. GOT OUT AND LOOKED UNDER THE PICKUP. SMOKE WAS POURING OUT BY THEN. WITHIN ABOUT 5 MIN. AT THE MOST A FIRE STARTED UNDERNEATH AND WITHIN MIN. THE WHOLE TRUCK WENT UP IN FLAMES. FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD ONLY 6 MILES AT THE M
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 5 MPH CONSUMER SAW SMOKE COMING FROM DASH. HE PULLED OVER AND DISCONNECTED BATTERY, FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO PUT OUT FIRE. *AK *YH
VEHICLE STALLED AT ANYTIME AND INTERMITTENTLY WHICH CAUSED VEHICLE TO GET REARENDED TWICE. DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO DETERMINE CAUSE.*AK
WHILE PARKED FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES CONSUMER NOTICED VEHICLE WAS BURNING AFTER 15 MINUTES. FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME. STEERING COLUMN WAS MELTED ALONG WITH THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. FORD HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK

VEHICLE MOVED OUT OF PARK AND ROLLED DOWN A HILL AND STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE. CONSUMER PARKED VEHICLE CROSSWAYS ON TOP OF A HILL. LATER ON VEHICLE WAS NOT THERE, VEHICLE MOVED OUT OF THE PARK POSITION. THIS MAY APPEAR TO BE COVERED UNDER RECALL 91V189, DATED 30 OCT 91. MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. *AK *SLC

ALTERNATOR FAILED.
OWNER STATES THAT HIS VEHICLE BURNED DOWN DUE TO A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. HE FURTHER NOTES THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT HIS VEHICLE WAS NOT IDENTIFIED. *AK
LEAK OF EITHER FLAMMABLE OR COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT CAUSED FIRE.
THE IGNITION SWITCH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO BURN THE WIRING. PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK
