WE WERE MAKING A 500 MILE TRIP TO GO TO A FUNERAL AND WHEN CLIMBING A LONG, STEEP GRADE THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR FILLED UP WITH SMOKE. I STOPPED AT THE NEAREST SERVICE STATION AND OBSERVED TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING OUT FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. I QUICKLY ADDED ENOUGH FLUID TO BRING THE LEVEL UP TO NORMAL. FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TRIP, EVERY TIME THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEATED, THE SMOKE WAS QUITE NOTICABLE. WHEN I RETURNED HOME, I TOOK THE CAR TO A GARAGE AND AFTER MANY HOURS OF LABOR, THE MECHANIC TOLD ME I WAS IN DANGER OF TRANSMISSION FIRE ,AND ALL I COULD DO WAS SPEND ABOUT $3,000 ON TRANSMISSION WORK. I HAVE HAD A MECHANIC TO LOOK AT MY CAR AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AND IT COULD GET WORST. I FEEL LIKE CAR DEALERSHIP ALREADY KNEW THIS AND I GOT STUCK WITH THE LEMON THAT I HAVE PAID MORE FOR THE CAR THAN WHAT IT IS WORTH. I DID NOT HAVE THE BEST OF CREDIT WHEN I PURCHASE THE CAR, HOWEVER IT DOESN'T GIVE THEM THE RIGHT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE. I HAVE PAID $4,098.25 AND I STILL OWE ATLEAST $5000.00.
