Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. ELECTRIC POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM FAILED WITH NO WARNING . PULLED VEHICLE OVER TO CHECK THE ISSUE. TURNED IT BACK ON, AND WARNING LIGHT CAME UP AGAIN SHOWING THAT THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. COULD BARELY TURN THE WHEEL WITHOUT CONSIDERABLE EFFORT.

DECIDED TO TAKE TO ANOTHER FORD DEALERSHIP NEARBY AT THE END OF MARCH 2018. MORE PARTS REPLACED, CAR SENT BACK TO US ON 6-1-18 BUT SERVICE MGR. WE HAVE 9 OF THESE INTERCEPTOR SEDANS WITH THE FORD READY FOR THE ROAD PACKAGE AND 5 OF THEM NOW HAVE ISSUES WITH THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE MARKER/TURN SIGNAL, THEY WILL FLASH RANDOMLY, I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE A VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME THINKING I WAS TURNING RIGHT DUE TO THE LIGHT FLASHING, WHEN IT IS DOING THIS WE HAVE NO INDICATION IT IS GOING ON WHILE WE ARE DRIVING. I HAVE A VIDEO OF WHAT IT IS DOING AND CAN SEND IT IF NEEDED, ALL OF OUR OFFICERS FEEL THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO OTHER DRIVERS THINKING YOUR GOING TO TURN WHEN YOU ARE NOT.
