DT: THE CALLER SAID THAT WHILE FILLING THE GAS TANK ON CAMPER THE GASOLINE VENT HOSE WAS CRACKED AND GAS SPILLED OUT ONTO THE VEHICLE AND THE GROUND. THE CALLER REPLACED THE HOSE HIMSELF. DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. MANUFACTURER SAID IT WAS THE PROBLEM WITH FORD AND FORD SAID IT WAS A MANUFACTURER'S PROBLEM. NO ONE OFFERED ANY HELP FOR FREE. CALLER JUST WANTED TO LET NHTSA KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THE CALLER'S OPINION WAS THAT THE HOSE WAS NOT APPROVED FOR GASOLINE. HE REPLACED IT WITH ONE THAT WAS APPROVED FOR GAS.*AK
