I PULLED MY CAR INTO A PARKING SPOT, USING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND POSITION IT IN THE SPOT. I REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION AND EXITED THE VEHICLE, ASSUMING THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK BECAUSE I HAD BEEN ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. UNFORTUNATELY, THE CAR WAS NOT IN PARK--BUT WAS STILL IN DRIVE MODE. THE CAR SLOWLY ROLLED BACKWARDS, HITTING ANOTHER PARKED VEHICLE BEHIND IT. IN SUBSEQUENT ATTEMPTS TO REPEAT THE ISSUE, I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION
