I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO SPRADLEY FORD DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE REGARDING RECALLS 16S42 AND 18S24. THE DEALERSHIP REPORTS RESOLVING 16S42 BY SERVICING THE SEAT BELT TENSIONERS. THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO ADDRESS RECALL 18S24 BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE THE CHARGING CABLE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. I SPOKE WITH SERVICE STAFF ON 3 OCCASIONS PRIOR TO PICKING UP MY VEHICLE AND AT NO TIME DID THEY REQUEST OR INFORM ME TO BRING THE CABLE TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP MADE NO EFFORT TO REPLACE THE CORD, THERMISTOR OR TRUNK BATTERY HOUSING AS REQUIRED.
TPMS SYSTEM FAULT COMES UP SHORTLY AFTER KEY FOBS STOP WORKING TOOK VEHICLE TO A FOR DEALER FOR SERVICE ALL THEY CAN SAY IS THAT IS THE RTM MODULE BUT THEY CANT BE TO SURE ON WHAT IT IS SEEM LIKE THEY DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON THIS HAS HAPPEN AT TWO FORD DEALERS ALREADY, RESEARCH WAS DONE AND IT SEEM THAT FORD HAD THIS ISSUE WITH LINCOLN MKX

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS PUSHED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, WHICH LEAD TO A HEAD ON COLLISION. THE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES, RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION, AND LATER DIED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I HAVE ALREADY FILED A COMPLAINT , #11173709, I AM FILING AGAIN BECAUSE I WANTED TO ADD INFORMATION TO THE ORIGINAL COMPLAINT BUT COULD NOT FIND HOW TO DO THAT. THIS IS A 2013 MODEL YEAR CAR THAT WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM THE DEALER IN MARCH 2015. THE CAR HAS BEEN ON THE ROAD FOR LESS THAN FOUR YEARS AND HAS ONLY 34750 MILES. THE STEERING ASSIST HAS FAILED, ALMOST CAUSING A FENDER BENDER IN A PARKING LOT. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS , IT SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT FORD HAS WITH SEVERAL CARS. THE COST FOR REPAIR HAS BEEN ESTIMATED AT 1800.00 PLUS TAX FROM OUR LOCAL FORD DEALER. ANOTHER CONCERN I HAVE IS THAT I BOUGHT TWO OF THESE CARS AT THE SAME TIME AND I AM NOW WAITING FOR THE SECOND CARS STEERING TO FAIL.

AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT A PART WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. CAR WOULD NOT START WITH KEY IN IGNITION; JUMPED 12V BATTERY TO TAKE TO DEALER. 12V BATTERY REPLACED 3/20/18 ($210). ON 6/10/2018, AGAIN, CAR WOULD NOT START. WAS TOLD BY DEALER THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHY NEW BATTERY NOT WORKING; REPLACED, 12V AGAIN ($0 UNDER WARRANTY). ON 7/19/2018, AGAIN, VEHICLE NOT STARTING; ABSOLUTELY NO ELECTRONIC DISPLAY IN DASH, THEREFORE, LOOKS TO BE 12V BATTERY PROBLEM, AGAIN. THIS VEHICLE APPEARS TO HAVE A PROBLEM W/ ABILITY TO MAINTAIN 12V BATTERY CHARGED AND SYSTEM INOPERABLE EVEN AFTER NEW BATTERY REPLACEMENT.

ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, I HAVE EXPERIENCED A MOMENTARY LOSS OF CONTROL OF MY CAR WHEN BRAKING. THE CAR ACCELERATES MOMENTARILY AFTER THE BRAKES ENGAGE AND I HAVE TAKEN MY FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN DECELERATING AROUND A CURVE , DRIVING DOWNHILL, OR WHEN DECELERATING OVER A BUMP OR OTHER AREA OF RAISED PAVEMENT LIKE MY DRIVEWAY. THESE INSTANCES HAVE OCCURRED ON CITY STREETS, AT SPEEDS UNDER 40 MPH. WHEN IT OCCURS IT FEELS AS IF THE CAR IS ACCELERATING. I WOULD ALSO DESCRIBE THE FEELING AS A SURGE, EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS BRAKING, AND SHOULD BE SLOWING. I HAVE ALSO DESCRIBED THIS AS A FEELING THAT THE BRAKES SLIP OR STOP WORKING MOMENTARILY AND THEN RE-ENGAGE. THE EXPERIENCE IS FRIGHTENING, AND I AM CONCERNED THAT THE CAR COULD SURGE FORWARD WHILE I AM BRAKING AND RESULT IN A COLLISION OR INJURIES. WHILE BRAKING USING LIGHT TO MEDIUM PRESSURE (AND, THUS, WHILE THE CAR IS USING REGENERATIVE BRAKING), IF I HIT A POTHOLE OR BUMP JUST RIGHT, THE CAR WILL SURGE FORWARD AS IF THE ACCELERATOR WAS PUSHED. (AND, OF COURSE IT WASN'T.) THE PROBLEM IS RELATIVELY INTERMITTENT, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN IT IS NONEXISTENT. QUITE THE OPPOSITE; IT CAN BE RECREATED AS LONG AS THE CONDITIONS ARE CORRECT (AS DESCRIBED ABOVE). EVEN WHEN YOU RECREATE THE EXACT CONDITIONS, IT IS STILL INTERMITTENT (BUT, AGAIN, THAT DOESN'T MEAN NONEXISTENT). FORD HAS LOOKED AT THE PROBLEM REPEATEDLY AND DEEMED IT "UNABLE TO RECREATE." THIS IS A FALSEHOOD; THE PROBLEM WAS RECREATED ONCE WITH A DEALER DRIVING THE CAR. ALSO, FORD GAVE ME A DATA RECORDER UNIT AND, USING THAT, I WAS ABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM WHILE THE RECORDER RAN. WHEN THEY RETRIEVED THE DATA, FORD CLAIMED THE CAR "PERFORMED AS EXPECTED." FORD REFUSED TO EXPLAIN WHETHER THAT MEANT THE CAR DID NOT SURGE OR WHETHER IT APPEARED TO SURGE, BUT THE SURGE APPEAR
