Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2015 FUSION is engine with 263 filings, followed by steering (150) and power train (137). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 12 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 3 investigation files overlapping the 2015 FUSION. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

Was driving g on the freeway and car began shaking about 1mile later rhe car would not go past 10 miles an hr without making a loud noise everything was upkept with my car ontop of all recalls and now I have a car that I had to finish paying off without being able to drive it for almost 2 years and can't seem to fund a solution on either the dealer fixing the power train or giving me a refund

In addition, the contact heard an abnormally loud bang. The power steering failure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the residence. The contact diagnosed the vehicle with rack and pinion failure and detached bolts. The contact stated that the bolts were corroded, and the rack and pinion gear had detached. The contact stated that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V632000 (Steering); however, the VIN was not associated with the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 146,000.

On 2/4/26, I experienced a slight skip while driving, But did not continue. The very next morning while in reverse, A winding sound started. Put car in drive pulled out onto main road, drove fine, not even half a mile. Stopped at sign, pulled out onto main road a main road, and car would not go, would not go in gear at all. No one was hurt, but received a few horn honks. Made it to side of road, put the car in sport/manual mode, did not help. Manage to make it about a mile up the road where I was able to safely park it in a parking lot. The check engine symbol came on a couple of weeks prior, but went away after a day. Did not come back on until this particular day 2/5/26. Nothing, no problems leading up to this. Conveniently the extended warranty went out on car 4k miles ago! And the dealership is not interested in helping me out at all. I had to have it towed to an independent shop, to get checked out, due to the dealership being booked 2 months out! I now have a car that I have only

My rear reverse camera has not been working properly. Sometimes the screen is completely black, sometimes the screen has lines in it , sometimes the camera acts like it is moving. It is very disturbing and dangerous. This is not weather related because it happens when it's sunny or raining. I can go a couple of days with out any issues and then randomly it has these issues. This has been going on for a while now so there isn't a particular day. This started happening early last year 2025
My 2015 Ford fusion 1.5 L engine has had problems since 2022. I have been adding antifreeze, changed spark plugs many times, flushed my antifreeze and the vehicle overheats and has had to be towed twice changed out thermostat, spark plugs, coil pack, two times for misfiring coolant housing with no success. Called in a complaint to Ford Motor Co. and they are unwilling to help. They said they put out a bulletin however this does not fix the problem of needing a new engine. I am stuck making payments on a car I cannot drive. My mechanic says it needs a new engine. Never realizing there was a bulletin or a coolant intrusion problem with this engine.
My 2015 Ford Fusion back over prevention camera system, is no longer working. I only get the black screen with error message "Camera is unavailable. Contact dealership". Which is creating a safety issue, while the vehicle is backing up. Reference Recall Number 25SA9 as many other ford products have the same issue. Many 2015 Ford models are covered under this recall. However, my fusion is not, because the recall only states 2016. My camera was troubleshot by a certified mechanic and was deemed a faulty camera by testing it with a different camera, and the system started working properly again.

Back up camera screen glitches and goes black when backing up. I have to pull forward and try reversing again to get the camera to work. When backing out of my driveway itâs an inconvenience but backing out of a parking space is a much bigger issue. Half way out of the space it will glitch distorting the picture or goes black with no picture.
I have lost power steering in the vehicle. The dash is popping up Service Advance Trac and Hill assist unavailable. I was looking into sensors and rack and pinion when I seen a recall, 19S26, which was listed for 2013-2016 ford fusions and Lincolns, but the recall isnât specific to my VIN. As of now, the dealership of course wonât fix what is an expensive repair, although it does appear that my car should be included. The information cited salt corrosion in winter as a contributor. It is now late December in Northeast Ohio.
Rear camera continuously malfunctions with grainy/dark image, just completely failed with message on screen âRear camera Not Availableâ. This puts myself and the people and vehicles around me at risk of collision when parking or reversing out of a parking space. This problem is common among many Ford Fusion owners.
The problem is the rear backup camera and I know Ford has recently issued recalls for certain models due to the camera being broken. The problem is that this is a 2015 model fusion and is being excluded from that recall but is having the exact same problems stated. It includes the camera not working, black lines appearing across the screen, or just flickering on and off. I think Ford should expand their rear camera problem to more years because it doesnât stop at 2016 models.

My transmission was serviced under the cable bushing recall - since then the main complaint is the grinding, loss of power, losing gears etc. the rear camera also fails to function over half of the time. this has been validated by fletcher car care. they said the transmission is now faulty. i have seen this issue repeated throughout the other safety reports on your website. this is an overarching issue that should've been addressed by the manufacturer. there were no warning lamps messages or symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. this car is a safety hazard and it is negligence to allow the issue to persist. the problem was reproduced by the shop, fletcher car care - Fletcher Car Care is an auto repair shop located at 38 Heritage Park Dr, Fletcher, NC 28732 - the issues i believe began when the cable bushing began changing the linkage between the shifter and transmission around march. this was when i started having issues with the rear camera - the rear camera at times is full o
The rear camera has worked intermittently, it goes out and comes back on. It is a huge safety risk. Mg vehicle needs to be included in the recall.
Backup camera broken, works only at random times. The Dealer confirmed today it needs to be replaced. Other 2015 Ford Fusions have already been recalled for this issue. I am asking you to expand it to include his VIN.
