The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-650 SD. The contact stated that he had noticed a leak coming from the vehicle. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the fuel injector was leaking. Upon further investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 08E042000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the vehicle was not included. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and the contact was informed that his vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.

20070824FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD F-650 SD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, IT BEGAN MISSTEPPING AND LOST POWER. IN MARCH OF 2007, THE FUEL TANKS FAILED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. HE LEARNED AT THAT TIME THAT THE FUEL TANKS WERE DETERIORATING AND BURNED THE FUEL TANKS FROM THE INSIDE OUT. THE FUEL TANKS WERE REPLACED. ON AUGUST 23, 2007, THE FUEL TANKS FAILED AGAIN AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL TANKS WERE REPLACED WITH THE SAME DEFECTIVE FUEL TANKS. THE VIN, PURCHASE DATE, AND ENGINE SIZE WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 80,000.

WE BOUGHT 2- F 650 ROLL BACKS AND THEY BOTH HAVE BEEN IN SHOP 3 TIMES FOR WHEEL BEARINGS TO BE REPLACED, TIRES WEARING BAD SPOTS IN THEM BECAUSE OF THIS, CARRIER BEARING WENT OUT, AND NOW ONE OF THEM THE AXLE BROKE AND IS IN SHOP AND IT ONLY HAS 34000 MILES ON IT. IT HAS HAD A BAD VIBRATION IN THEM SINCE WE BOUGHT THEM, THAT IS WHAT WE TOOK THEM TO SHOP FOR.*JB
