SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DISC:CALIPER
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2014 F-53 motorhome chassis and F-59 commercial chassis manufactured February 14, 2014, to March 7, 2014. The affected chassis may have incorrectly machined brake calipers that may leak brake fluid.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT THE TIME OF FAILURE, IN A HILLY SERVICE AREA, WHICH PLACED MY DRIVER IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. MANY IN OUR INDUSTRY HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE AND KNEW IT WAS A DEFECT. SEVERAL PLEAS TO THE DEALERSHIP RESULTED WITH NO HELP AT ALL THIS IS A CLEAR DEFECT THAT FORD HAS BEEN AWARE OF, HOWEVER WHEN I REPEATEDLY APPEALED TO FORDS CUSTOMERS SERVICE DEPARTMENT RELATED TO THE ABOVE REFERENCE ENGINE ISSUE, I WAS DENIED REPEATEDLY AND INTENTIONALLY DISCONNECTED ON ONE OCCASION. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT FORDS REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTING TO DELAY OR REFUSE TO PAY THE ENGINE CLAIM. I HAVE NUMEROUS ITEMS TO ATTACH, HOWEVER YOUR SITE WILL NOT ALLOW. PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL AND I CAN SEND THE REST OF MY DOCUMENTATION. I WAS ABLE TO ATTACHTHE MECHANICS REPORT AND OUR REWARD LETTER.
