TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 (NA) FORD F53. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHASSIS GEAR SHIFT CABLE FAILED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO CROWN FORD (2056 SWAINE STREET, FAYETTEVILLE, NC 28303, (910)-867-0299) FOR ROUTINE OIL MAINTENANCE. WHEN THE DEALER ATTEMPTED TO MOVE THE VEHICLE INTO THE SERVICE BAY, THE ENGINE FAILED TO START. THE DEALER FOUND THAT THE SHIFTER CABLE WAS SEPARATED FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL RETAINING BRACKET. THE DEALER FOUND THAT THE GEAR WAS IN PARK AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN REVERSE. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE CHASSIS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED.
