LT275/70R18 E While driving west on I10 near Thermal California, the rear driver side tire lost 100% of its thread at a 65 MPH speed. When the thread separated from the tire it damaged fender area of the truck extensively and caused a violent throw and shake of the rear of the truck. The interesting fact is that even after losing 100% of the thread he tire steel belts exposed the tire stayed inflated at 80PSI. This fact is know because I was actively monitoring TPMS tire pressure while safely pulling over. The tries were inspected and pressure levels were checked prior taking off for the trip to Thermal CA to pick up the family 5th wheel camper. These tires supposed to have a thread life of 60,000 miles, mine had reached 32000 miles. At this point there is a huge concern and low confidence in Goodyear brand tire and this may happen to the other tires on my truck and may happen under the load of the 35 foot family RV. No one was injured, and no one reproduced this problem and the manuf
