TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 1995 FORD F-450 SD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE INDEPENDENTLY. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND FILED A REPORT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN.
ENGINE STARTED TO SMOKE BADLY. THEN, IT STARTED MISSING, AND IT LOST POWER. CONSUMER FELT WRONG ENGINE WAS IN TRUCK. *AK CONSUMER ORDERED PARTS FOR A 7.3 LITER ENGINE, HOWEVER THESE PARTS WOULD NOT WORK IN VEHICLE, THE SERIAL NUMBER REVEALS ENGINE IS A 7.4 LITER WHICH INTERNATIONAL SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR FORD IN 1994, THIS NEW ENGINE WILL COST CONSUMER $15000 AND FORD WILL NOT HELP IN ANY WAY. *SLC
