Our passenger side heated mirror is melting. We are unsure as to the plastics used and why it is melting. This mirror is also a heated mirror with electric connected to it. The Ford Dealer told us that Ford will not repair this under warranty. Why is this melting. What type of cheap plastic did they use. Please help us getting to the bottom of this. Thank you.

Ford Panoramic Sunroof P/N: ml3z-16500a18-c Spontaneously shattered while driving. No foreign object came in contact with the glass. No harsh or unique road conditions during event. No occupants of the vehicle came in contact with glass prior to shattering. The sunroof operation itself, or components adjacent to the sunroof, (e.g. the sunroof shade cover) were not in use during the failure. The glass shattered outwards away form the vehicle causing most of the glass to land in the truck bed, rough a third rained down inside the vehicle onto the occupants. The safety hazard is that glass shards fell down on occupants at enhanced by road speed. There was no way to avoid the shattering. There was no previous indication of wear of stress on the glass in previous weeks or moments prior to the explosion. The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-350 SD. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the 360-degree camera screen failed to display the rearview, and a message stating that the full screen was not available was displayed. The contact stated that the fault was in the middle of the screen display, which failed to display the trailer that was hitched to the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the wiring harness was replaced under an unknown recall. In addition, the contact was informed that the rear-view camera display system had been adjusted; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact was informed that the failure was not a consumer error, and that the failure could not be corrected. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact stated that the dealer contacted the manufacturer for assistance, but the request to cover the repair was denied. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

I bought a new Ford F350 superdury on 10/24/2025 with 73 miles on it. I drove 110 miles to my parking lot and then on 10/27/2025 morning the vehicle spontaneously caught fire under the dashboard.
The vehicle part ML3Z-16500A18-E, or rear panoramic sunroof panel, spontaneously shattered while the vehicle was parked and turned off. I was not driving, and nothing impacted the vehicle. There were no signs of attempted break-in, falling debris, or vandalism, and there was no object inside or around the vehicle that could have caused the breakage. With this being tempered glass, it fragmented violently. This sudden failure created a significant safety hazard, as shattered glass covered the interior. If occupants had been inside, this could have caused serious injury from falling glass. If this unexpected failure occurred while the vehicle was in motion or at speed, it could result in distraction, loss of control, and/or a potential collision. The dealer had inspected the vehicle in person and was unable to determine the reason for the failure. Fan Clutch Failure at 34,000 Miles, new clutch installed, fan clutch failure again at 47,000 miles. Causes unpredictable accelerations, delayed reaction and poor driveability. Ford did not honor warranty for first fan clutch as when they could service it, the truck was over 36,000 miles. No warning lights or other indicators, extreme engine noise when driving.

Upon taking delivery there were many safety faults present once I drove the vehicle that included loss of power, the vehicle randomly braking by itself, adaptive cruise control faults, cross traffic faults, blind spot warning faults, forward collision faults, rear cross traffic faults, rusty engine components as well as other rusty components on the vehicle. These safety defects in manufacturing materials, workmanship, improper storage by the selling dealer, and selling of a defective vehicle to me has put myself and my family in an unsafe vehicle. The vehicle has been at the local Ford service center since July 22nd 2025 with the service department stating there is no fix for these issues and is a known issue by Ford. My safety and my family's safety has been put at risk by the vehicle's loss of power, random braking applications,

Steering Wheel Misalignment, 2024 Ford F-350 Platinum (VIN: [XXX] ) I am submitting a safety-related defect complaint involving a visibly off-center steering wheel in my 2024 Ford F-350 Platinum. The steering wheel remains misaligned to the left when the vehicle is traveling straight, impacting driver perception, confidence, and potentially overall safety. In January 2025, the dealership performed a front-end alignment in response to my concern, acknowledging it as a deviation from acceptable standards. However, when the issue persisted, Ford reversed course and claimed the off-center wheel was an intentional design feature called âClear Vision,â supposedly meant to improve gauge visibility and compensate for road crown. This âfeatureâ is not documented in any Ford manuals, bulletins, training, or consumer-facing materials.
