Our truck is currently experiencing issue with the driver side door. In cold temperatures, the door will not open from the outside of the vehicle nor the inside of the vehicle. This is a known Ford recall with the F150 series as well. TSB/SSM 50543: SSM 50543 is a Ford Special Service Message addressing freezing door latches on 2021-2022 F-150 trucks. It addresses issues with doors failing to lock, unlock, or open in freezing temperatures due to water intrusion, instructing dealers to inspect and, if necessary, replace door latch cables and actuators. This is EXACTLY what we are experiencing with our 2022 F350.

Ford dealerships when contacted do not have a fix and two dealers have said its a very common issue but no fix for it. safety risk is that while you think your hands free on the phone when it goes in and out of connection can cause a major distraction while driving. Ford notified me on July 8, 2025, that no remedy is currently available. The recall states the fuel pump can fail, resulting in a loss of fuel pressure and engine stall while driving. This creates a serious safety risk of crash or injury. Despite acknowledging the defect, Ford has not provided a remedy, a timeline for repair, or safe alternative transportation. I feel unsafe driving this vehicle, and I am still financially responsible for it. Safety Concern: The risk of the engine stalling while driving, especially at highway speeds, creates an immediate danger to myself, passengers, and other motorists.
