The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving at 55 MPH, the tailgate opened inadvertently, and landed on the jack for the trailer that was being hauled. The contact owned a 2021 Ford F-350 Diesel. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in the contact's residential yard, the contact noticed the vehicle was on fire. The contact had just parked the vehicle and walked around to the back of the residence. The contact stated that the fire came from under the center area of the hood. The contact attempted to extinguish the fire, however the fire department arrived and extinguished the fire. A fire report was filed. No police report was filed. No injuries were sustained. 1st when the truck is running it has 14.7v from cigarette lighter, and I had an app that reported over voltage since day one and have to replace the battery every 6-8 months. 2nd less than 60,000 miles had issues with drive train (could be something else as Iâm not mechanical) and it went after the 60,000 miles because they said it was a computer issue. They said the issues were unrelated even though they did the same things. I had to wait over 2 months on parts as it was the same issue that GM had as they had the same parts.

ABOUT 7-8 TIMES NOW, THE TAILGATE HAS OPENED UNDER IT'S OWN POWER UNEXPECTEDLY. IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE STATIONARY AFTER JUST STARTING THE VEHICLE, WHILE IN REVERSE AND IN FORWARD MOTION. ALL INSTANCES SEEM TO HAPPEN SHORTLY AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN STARTED.
