I OWN A 1999 FORD F-350 I PARKED IN MY DRIVE WAY AT 8 PM ON JANURARY 1 AND WOKE UP AT TO A LOUD BOOM AT 5 AM IN THE MORNING . FORD SENT ME A RECALL NOTICE ON DECEMBER 30 WAS GOING TO SET A APPOINTMENT ON JANURARY 2 UNFORTUNATELY THE TRUCK BURNED MONDAY MORNING. ALSO HAVE A FORD EXPEDITION LOOKED UP THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER AND IT TO HAS THE SAME PROBLEM FORD HAS YET TO SEND ME A RECALL NOTICE. NOW ARGUING WITH INSURANCE COMPANY THEY WANT TO GIVE ME NOTHING FOR MY TRUCK.

1999 FORD F-350. UNIT #1 WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE ON THE OHIO TURNPIKE. UNIT #1 HAD A RIGHT TIRE BLOWOUT CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL AND STRIKE THE GUARDRAIL OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. UNIT #1 CAME TO A CONTROLLED STOP AFTER STRIKING THE GUARDRAIL. *LN ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT, ALL THE TIRES WERE IN GOOD CONDITION, BUT ALL WERE FROM DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS AND ALL HAD DIFFERENT READ PATTERNS. THE DRIVER STATED THE TIRE BLOWN TIRE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.

WHILE TRAVELING 70 MPH THE CONTACT NOTICED A LOUD POP SOUND COMING FROM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE, SECONDS LATER, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE HAD SUDDENLY EXPLODED WITHOUT WARNING CAUSING THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO A NEARBY GUARD RAIL.
