EMERGENCY BRAKES DO NOT HOLD. HAVE HAD THEM CHECKED FOR ADJUSTMENT SEVERAL TIMES. IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AS IT HAS NO PARK PINS. ALTHOUGH MY INSURANCE COVERED IT, IT ACTUALLY ROLLED INTO ANOTHER BUILDING ON MY PROPERTY. I HAVE TO US A WOOD BLOCK AGAINST THE WHEEL TO STOP IT FROM ROLLING ON ALL BUT THE SLIGHTEST INCLINE. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL OCCURRENCES WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED.

WE WERE DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT AT A SLOW RATE OF SPEED WHEN THE STEERING LET LOOSE AND WE HAD NO CONTROL OF THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK CRASHED INTO A POLE IN THE LOT, AND WAS UNABLE TO BE MOVED DUE TO LOSS OF STEERING. IT HAD TO BE TOWED AWAY. HAD THIS BEEN A PARKING LOT WITH CARS AND OR PEOPLE THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES. THE VEHICLE WAS MOVED TO THE SHOULDER WHERE IT WAS SHUT OFF AND TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIANS DETERMINED THAT THE EGR VALVE, EGR COOLER AND OIL COOLER HAD FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ON 8/3/2009 AT 1730 AND 2045 HOURS I WAS DRIVING MY 2006 F250 SUPERDUTY 4X4 ON I-10 EASTBOUND AND DROVE OVER A BRIDGE/CULVERT SEAM IN THE ROADWAY. THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL AND STEERING WHEEL SHOOK VIOLENTLY AND WOULD NOT STOP SHAKING UNTIL MY SPEED SLOWED FROM 70 TO 25 MPH. IT WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BRAKE WITH CONSTANT PRESSURE.
