Within that volume, owners reported 3 crashes, 3 fires, 0 injuries, and 0 fatalities. No NCAP 5-star crash-test rating is available for this model year in the federal database.
Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2014 F-250 is suspension with 79 filings, followed by steering (74) and unknown or other (13). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.
NHTSA currently has 177 investigation files overlapping the 2014 F-250, and 8 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

Rear view camera went blank and displayed "request service" also when it did work, display was blurred.
Back up camera not working and showing a blank screen. Says to contact dealership.
I kept smelling a burnt plastic smell. Eventually my driver side rear door did not lock. Upon inspection of the wiring the wire harness from the door to the truck showed the wires on the truck side had burned/melted the sheathing off the wires and leaving them exposed and touching.
LT265/70R17, I received a recall notice from Amazon where I purchased a set of 4 tires. I only use these tires for winter driving and the notice states I should remove them immediately. They do not say for me to purchase new ones at the same time or if I will be reimbursed for any (all) cost. I still have around 70% of wear on them and am in the mid-winter season of McCall ID. I can't see any fault at this time and will keep trying to contact Prinx Chengshan Tire North America, INC. Notice: NHTSA CAMPAIGN # 24T014000.
2014 ford f250 super duty 6.7 diesel. Coming down mountain in Arizona (bumblebee pass) hit small bump. Truck began violently shaking in the âdeath wobble modeâ. Later I was just driving on the freeway and hit a small bump at 70 mph (75 mph zone), again violent shaking that did not stop until I was driving 50 mph. Since Iâm leaving on cross country trip soon, I opted to take vehicle to mechanic. It is there now. This is because there is no recall on 2014 ford for this issue and I donât have weeks available to fight with ford. have learned today that this is very common across the county and has been reported to ford motor company but the company is denying their liability to fix this very dangerous issue! My vehicle symptoms are exactly what there have been numerous complaints about. I will be sending the bill to ford.

On November 26, 2024 we experienced our third incident of the death wobble. During this third incident it threw the truck into oncoming traffic. After the second incident of the death wobble, we had the steering stabilizer fixed that was November 11, 2022. There was also damage to one tire due to truck leaving road. There was no warning lights or anything else prior to the uncontrollable shaking.

Death wobble at speeds greater than 46 mph. I have to come to a complete stop to make it stop. I almost got rear ended by a semi before I could get off the interstate on the shoulder. My vehicle is a 2014 but I have experienced this several times since I bought it new. Took it to my local ford dealer to see if they can do anything to fix it. Itâs really dangerous when it happens on a busy interstate. The front end sounds like itâs coming apart and steering is impossible when it happens.
