TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1992 FORD F150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH THE VEHICLE STALLED. HE COASTED THE VEHICLE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HIS RESIDENCE. AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE HE NOTICED THAT THE FRONT FUEL TANK HAD BURNED A HOLE IN THE FUEL PUMP. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THREE WEEKS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A VIN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 384,

TL*THE CONTACT OWNED A 1992 FORD F150. THE DRIVER'S SIDE AREA OF THE DASHBOARD CAUGHT FIRE WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. FIRE REPORT NUMBER CASKU0055 WAS FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL FOR THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL. THE RECALL NUMBER AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN.
I WAS DRIVING MY FORD F-150 1992 AND I STOPPED AT LOWES. I CUT MY TRUCK OFF AND PROCEEDED INTO THE STORE. I COME BACK OUTSIDE AND MY TRUCK WAS ON FIRE. SEVERAL EMPLOYEES ATTEMPTED TO PUT OUT THE FIRE BUT IT DID NOT WORK. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO COME AND PUT IT OUT. THEY THEN STATED THAT IT WAS DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND FILLED IT AS THAT. MY WORK IS NOW GONE DUE TO THAT AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. IF POSSIBLE PLEASE HELP ME BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. MY TRUCK IS MY MONEY MAKER AN

I OBSERVED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE TAIL LIGHT WAS WARPED. I REMOVED THE ASSEMBLY FROM THE VEHICLE AND DISCOVERED THAT THE INTERIOR OF THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS BURNT AND MELTED TO THE POINT THAT IT WAS NOT RECOGNIZABLE. THE INSULATION WAS MELTED OFF ALL THE WIRES, WHERE IT EXITED THE WIRING LOOM. THE WIRE INSIDE THE LOOM WAS GROOVED AS IF THE LOOM HAD WORN THROUGH THE WIRE, THE APPARENT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. THE FUSE WAS BLOWN. I HAD TO CUT THE LOOM, REPLACE THE WIRE, REPLACE THE SOCKETS AND

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR FAILED CAUSING ENGINE TO RACE. THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD AND IMPACTED THE BRICK WALL BY THE SIDE OF THE GARAGE DOOR. THE IMPACT KNOCKED THE DRIVER UNCONSCIOUS. WHEN HE CAME TO THE ENGINE WAS STILL RACING AND THE TIRES WERE SPINNING. HE KILLED THE ENGINE BY TURNING THE KEY OFF. IT BENT THE BUMPER AND IT CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE HOUSE. UPON IMPACT WITH THE OTHER DRIVER(HE WAS DRUNK) THE SEAT BELT PULLED APART WITH THE IMPACT. AND THAT POINT I WAS SEVERLY INJURIED. THE INJURIES WOULD NOT BEEN OF THE NATURE THAT THEY WERE IF THE BELT DID NOT BREAK. THE DPS OFFICE SIAD THAT THE SPEED OF BOTH OF THE TRUCKS WOULD OF BEEN APPROX. 100 MILE AN HOUR IMPACT..I HAVE CONTACTED FORD AND FILED A REPORT AND I HAVE MAJOR PROOF FORD IS LIAIABLE .
