GOOD DAY NHTSA, I BELIEVE FERRARI OF ITALY HAS MESSED UP AGAIN ON THEIR VIN# AND TITLE NAMING CONVENTIONS. I JUST STARTED DEPORTATION MY 2007 FERRARI F430 BACK TO EUROPE, SEEMS THE ?AMERICAN? SPECIFICATION CAR THEY TITLED AND SOLD ME IN OCT 2013 IS ACTUALLY A ?LATIN AMERICAN? SPECIFICATION CAR. I JUST RETIRED AFTER 23 YEARS FROM THE U.S. ARMY, I HAVE MULTIPLE COMBAT TOURS AND I JUST GOT RIPPED OFF FOR $167,000. BY AN AUTHORIZED FERRARI DEALERSHIP IN GERMANY (MY LAST DUTY STATION WHERE THE PURCHASE WAS MADE, THIS WAS MY RETIREMENT GIFT). IN FEB 2014, WHEN THE CAR ARRIVED AT THE U.S. ENTRY PORT IN GA, THE U.S CUSTOMS OFFICIALS NOTICED THE VIN# DID NOT MATCH THE TITLE OR THE BUILD OUT OF THE CAR. THE CAR WAS CONFISCATED AND AS IT IS NOT ABLE TO BE MODIFIED TO MEET U.S. DOT STANDARDS, IT CAN?T STAY IN THE USA. NOW THE DEALER IS STONEWALLING ME AND WILL NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT TAKI
